Schwarzkopf Root Retoucher Brown 70 G

My hair is coloured brown, with natural hair colour in black and 20-40% grey depending on the area. The transfer can be minimised by layering a fine mist of hairspray over where the product has been applied.\nThe only problem, which is also a major issue for me, is the amount of mess that it makes. No matter how I try (close to the scalp, far from the scalp, press down the spray softly or all the way, spray quickly or slowly), large droplets would come out from the bottle. Although using a towel on my shoulders can prevent the product from staining my clothes, they actually go a lot further than just on myself - they do go to the back of my bathroom and on the floor behind me. They can be easily removed if they land on the tiles but not if they get onto the grout (and they did!) - it's very frustrating as I couldn't clean them. \nI have decided that I would not repurchase, despite really liking the actual product colour and coverage. The mess that it makes is not worth it, and it is not practical for me to cover all or my bathroom walls and floor every time I use it.\nIt is a shame because the product itself is great but the spraying mechanism is not.\n

While I understand the idea behind the product. It felt like spray paint on my head the colour was darker then it should have been. It did cover the roots but if I ran my fingers through my hair my fingers turned the colour of the paint. My family did not like the way it made my hair look and feel. It made my hair hard and I couldn't wait to wash it out.

This Schwarzkopf Dark Blonde Root Retoucher is one of the best root cover spray's I have used. Covers regrowth in a instant. Doesn't leave residue on the skin, works well not just in dry hair but wet hair as well. Added bonus!! Shake well before use, and spray you can see the colour changing from dark to blonde, funny as It doesn't have peroxide in it. Highly recommend for that instant change, if you don't have time to go to the hairdresser. Perfect for all light brown roots to dark blonde. Washes out once you wash hair. Good size can, easy to use!!

Convenient but it can be a little tricky to use

I was excited to try my little can of Schwarzkopf Root Retoucher in dark blonde. My natural hair colour is dark blonde and I have a lot grey hair in the front of my hairline, specifically my fringe area, and some speckled grey throughout my hair. My hair is also fine and quite thin. I read the instructions and gave the can a good shake before attempting to apply it to my already styled hair. I sprayed cautiously in short bursts to gradually add the colour. While spraying I noticed more air than liquid was actually coming out of the can and I had a lot of drips dropping onto my face and surrounds. So I was frantically wiping off the mess before it stained my face. I shook the can some more and tried again until the grey was covered. I tried it for a second time a few days later and found the experience a little better but still messy. Perhaps it gets easier over time so I will persist because I think it's a great idea and I want it to work for me!

Convenient, easy, satisfying.

I really enjoyed this product so much! I don't even feel like I need to buy hair dye anymore. I don't get many grey hairs; just a little sprinkling right in the roots of my fringe. I always felt like I had to dye all my hair to deal with the issue but this product does just want I need it to. It's really easy to use, no horrible hair dye smell, it's lightweight so you can carry it in your handbag or car and it looks so sleek. It just looks like a small can of hair spray. I got mine in black and the colour lasted me I'd say 2 days. Even when I washed my, I didn't notice the colour come out that much. The price is always VERY reasonable for the amount you get. I will 100% be buying the product again!

Good coverage but a very heavy product

The colour turned out to be darker than I anticipated but gave me a nice extended shadow root. I dont have greys but can tell it would definitely cover them if I did. Would be great on darker hair - my mum would love it for in between hairdresser visits. It is a very heavy product so not great for every day however if you had a function and couldn't get to the hairdresser it would be great. Feels very much like a heavier version of dry shampoo

Great over grey hairs!

I've been using this product for two weeks. At first it was a little messy, overspray went over the bathroom sink etc, and on my hands, but it did wipe clean easily. Once on my hair it dried pretty quickly but left my hair slightly stiff like after using hairspray. The colour was slightly too dark for me, making my regrowth a little more obvious however still worth using for the grey coverage. Would recommend for those weeks between colouring/salon visits.

Love it

This is one of the better brands from my own personal experience. It dries quickly . Tried the other brands , if you happen to touch your hair , the dye ends up on your fingers ,where as this one doesn’t . Also it doesn’t feel like ,that you have just put hairspray on . Leaves the hair soft .

Simple and effective

So I don't actually dye my hair and am a natural read head so the colour wasn't a great match for me but I do get a few grey's around my temples. I did try it despite the above and found that it was quite easy to use although highly recommend using gloves and coverage for you bathroom sink and there is a bit of dripping from the nozzle. It definitely covered my roots seemingly evenly and change the colour of my natural hair in the places I sprayed so would assume that if my roots were grey or even a natural colour regrowth it would work a treat. Not the product for me although I can see it could be quiet effective on some people, pretty cool invention.

Works really well

I have light brown hair and wasn’t sure if I should go for the dark blonde or the brown. I thought the brown maybe to dark, so chose the dark blonde. This worked so well and really matched my hair hair colour. It sprayed in nice and evenly covering my greys really well. My hair looked lovely and shiny. It didn’t look greasy or chalky. It does transfer a bit when you touch your hair so a little hairspray works well. Overall I love it and would definitely recommend
