My hair was a patchy semi permanent neon pink, covering some badly bleached, very yellow and orange hair. I was struggling to get the pink dye to come out and it was just a mess. This colour stripper lifted the pink out almost instantly (literally a few seconds!) , and then slowly lightened the orangey yellow base. My hair is still yellow with a little bit of orange in it but it's a lot lighter and even. There's no bad smell, my hair doesn't feel any more damaged than before, and I am so happy. The only negative to me is the amount of product you get. I used 2 packs and only just managed to cover my shoulder length hair after scraping out the bottles. It's very thick cream so doesn't go very far. However I love this product and definitely recommend for removing ... MoreMy hair was a patchy semi permanent neon pink, covering some badly bleached, very yellow and orange hair. I was a bit nervous to use this based on other reviews however I’m glad I went ahead. My hair is naturally dark brown, I’ve dyed it many shades of red over the last several months, prior to this I would dye my hair warmer browns so I literally have years and years of colour build up. I used this product as instructed, the process was easy enough. Yes it stinks, but that was to be expected really due to the ingredients. I was left with ginger hair, again, I fully expected this would happen due to the colours I had been dying my hair. I then dyed my hair with semi permanent ‘Ash Blonde’ and I’m now left with a beautiful shade of mid brown.I think any negative reviews have possibly been due to not researching/reading enough. There’s a lot of information in the box ... MoreI was a bit nervous to use this based on other reviews however I’m glad I went ahead. There’s a lot of information in the box about how certain dyes can change the shade of your natural hair, along with clearly stating it won’t work on fashion dyes.Overall I would recommend, don’t have unrealistic expectations and do your research! Also do a strand test, not only to check for a reaction but also to see how it will look when you go over the whole head!

I usually another brand of colour remover but heard the smell of this was better... It was marginally. That being said, it did absolutely nothing. I have highlighted hair covered with one layer of dark brown dye and it removed nothing. The process is ridiculously long and involves jumping in and out of the shower towel drying hair to put the next product on. The only positive is my hair feels in good condition after using it. Don't waste your money, head straight for colourless or colour b4 and put up with the smell.

I have been home dying my naturally light brown/20% grey hair for a number of years and my last hair dye was a permanent 6.3. It came out much darker than I expected so after 3 weeks I decided to look into the decolouring home products. After reading a number of terrible reviews of a similar product I decided to give this one a try. I have not been disappointed. It was easy to follow the instructions, not too runny when applying and whilst it does smell a bit it’s not as bad as some of the terrible rotten egg comments. It reminds me of the smell of a home perm! The result of my hair now is that the dark colour is gone and I am back to a good base maybe level 7. It’s slightly red toned so I am going to put 7.1 Ash dark blonde over it after waiting for 3 washes and 7 ... MoreI have been home dying my naturally light brown/20% grey hair for a number of years and my last hair dye was a permanent 6.3. It reminds me of the smell of a home perm! The result of my hair now is that the dark colour is gone and I am back to a good base maybe level 7. It’s slightly red toned so I am going to put 7.1 Ash dark blonde over it after waiting for 3 washes and 7 days. Based on what I have previously done to my hair this product worked well for me and I would use it again if I needed to. I am pleased with the result!
Has the formula changed? The familiar demonic odour of colour remover was not present from the beginning..it’s now reminiscent of very cheap garlic bread upon application. The sulfuric stink develops during finishing and has lingered on my head for an extended length of time, longer in fact than most of my past jobs and relationships.I purchased and used two boxes with no result. Not my first colour stripping rodeo so I was familiar with the procedure and expected results.Achieved maybe 1 degree of lift at best, dandruff shampoo would’ve worked harder and been money better spent.
Absolutely love this product! IAfter I went to a salon to dye my bleached hair brown (which I instantly regretted) I decided to try this product to start the stripping process. I didn’t expect a miracle as I have no knowledge of what processes the salon used to dye my hair brown. So I achieved a strawberry blonde and was quite happy with the results, my roots are quite warm, but I’m not disappointed in it! If you follow the instructions carefully and understand that this is not a miracle cure then this is for you! I’m giving my hair a rest for a few weeks and then I will try and strip the warmth out of it. I made sure that I properly prepared and sectioned my hair to give accurate distribution
I had bottle black hair, which I knew would be notoriously stubborn and difficult to remove! I tried colour B4, which worked on the roots but left the rest untouched. I thought I’d try this. First of all, it actually comes with a pre-treatment clarifying shampoo, unlike other brands! The mixture has a strong smell, but not as bad as other brands. The first use lifted the black a great deal, except for some bits at the front. I did the treatment again with a 2nd box straight after, and that helped lift it some more. Please note this only works on permanent and semi permanent dyes that have had to be mixed with a developer (so will not work on direct semi-permanents that stain, such as fashion dyes like Manic Panic).
I never write reviews but: It removed very little of a semi-permanent black hair colour out of my naturally brown hair. But that was not the worst part, the worst part was the smell. Not only did it make my hair smell horribly, but my entire house. Even when I left the house others could smell it off me, it took multiple showers to get the smell out of hair, and days for the smell to leave my house. It was so embarrassing. I smelt like eggs, so don't it to yourself and do not buy this product.
Very pleased with the outcome. I went from very dark red/purple to medium ash blonde. My natural colour is grey and have been dying my hair for years.I followed instructions exactly. Used the product in my garden so smell was no problem, it wasn't too bad anyhow.Once I had finished, my hair colour was almost white on top and ginger down the length. My hair is very long and one box was enough. The next day I used a semi permanent medium ash blond. My hair condition is is as good as before.
i have to leave a review on this because wow. i dyed my hair black about 3 months ago ( permanent too yikes ) and it won’t fade or lift at all even with all the at home methods floating about on the internet. i was very skeptical about a hair colour remover as my hair is receding badly and i didn’t want to make it worse but i gave this a go and i can’t believe the results. i wanted to go to a nice chocolate brown ( my hair is a greyish brown naturally so i bought a chocolate dye to go over it a few days after removing colour ) after following the steps and drying my hair i noticed tones of warm brown coming through. my hair had naturally lightened to the way i wanted! and so so so soft! absolutely thrilled by my lovely chocolate locks and no damage!!! 100% recommend ... Morei have to leave a review on this because wow. i dyed my hair black about 3 months ago ( permanent too yikes ) and it won’t fade or lift at all even with all the at home methods floating about on the internet. i was very skeptical about a hair colour remover as my hair is receding badly and i didn’t want to make it worse but i gave this a go and i can’t believe the results. i wanted to go to a nice chocolate brown ( my hair is a greyish brown naturally so i bought a chocolate dye to go over it a few days after removing colour ) after following the steps and drying my hair i noticed tones of warm brown coming through. my hair had naturally lightened to the way i wanted! and so so so soft! absolutely thrilled by my lovely chocolate locks and no damage!!! 100% recommend this to anyone, if you want to remove colour but are nervous about damage: GET THIS!
