When we first started to use this litter it was as good as any of the more expensive tofu brands (tried them all). Unfortunately, for our last two orders (20kg at a time), the tofu has not worked anywhere near as well. Very poor clumping, which is leading to a much higher usage rate. I will finish up the current order, but will be looking for a replacement if the performance doesn't improve.

Over the past 6 months I have been going through litter trials for both my cats and I, to find the best litter. This litter is the best based on my experience. Let me explain my results below. Clumping - Yes, it may not create the satisfyingly tiny spherical balls like Petkit Tofu litter, but Scrunch and Sticks clumps and scoops well. I recommend leaving it for at least 30min before scooping after use so it firms up. Tracking & Dust - I have never found dusty paw prints anywhere with Scrunch and Sticks and I have timber floors. Both dust and tracking are minimal. In comparison to Petkit which made my whole house smell like baked goods and cupcakes or The Zodiac litter made my house smell like oddly stale fruit or World's best which had a discernable grain/ammonia like smell. I live in a small terrace house so smell is important. Odor control - The Scrunch and Sticks litter is fine for 1 week, and this is when I change it. I clean my litter every day. However, if you leave it longer than 1 week it can start to develop a slight stale ammonia smell. Compared to Breeders Choice which stunk my house out with ammonia every time my cat used the tray. This litter is great for odor and performs just as well as Trouble and Trix. Flushable - Yes, it is, but I do not flush my Scrunch and Sticks litter. Importantly, it dissolves in water well, which makes cleaning up litter trays each week easy as does not leave any after residue or junk in the laundry sink or outside like Catwood Softlux did. Environmental - Two words: PAPER BAG. Finally, a litter that is good for the environment, your cat and comes in a paper bag! I like trouble and Trix litter a lot but like almost all litters it came in single a use plastic which is terrible. Scrunch and Sticks is the second litter I found that came in a recyclable paper bag next to Breeders Choice. Economy of scale: I have 4 litter trays and 2 cats. 4 litter trays are large and 1 is small. I use 5.25kg per week on my 4 litter trays, which equates to $30 week. Cost - After testing many litter types, I decided that tofu litter was the best performing. However, its expensive. So, I did some high-level math. Some litter comes in L liters other in Kg, but 1kg is roughly equivalent to 2L of tofu litter (brand dependent). After costing all the tofu litters from Pet circle, Scrunch and Sticks came in at 10kg or around 20L. Therefore its $4.93 per kg or approximately $2 per L. This litter was by far the most economical of all tofu litters. Cats' options: Cat 1 favorite: The All-Natural Vermiculite Litter. Cat 2 favorite: No specific preference. Both cats liked Scrunch and Sticks and had no issues adapting to it. RESULT: 6 moths of litter trials, this is the best performing on average and the most cost-effective tofu litter I found. This is my go-to litter for my cat, its perfect, it clumps well around urine without sticking to the box, it hides the scent decently, but the best part is that it doesn't track at all. My cat doesnt get his litter anywhere outside his litter box with it. It lasts for several weeks when scooped regularly, so I really have no complaints about it. This litter is affordable and does everything I need it to, so for me, it is absolutely perfect. I recomend it very highly.

Our 6 year old had had allergies to nearly every type of litter we've tried. However, with this one we've had no sore paws and he even covers up his passing which he refused to do with other litter. It has made a big change in his and our lives.
I have tried multiple brands of tofu clumping litter. I bought this brand to try as it was on sale and price point was good, but unfortunately I find that it does not clump as well as other brands of tofu clumping litter , so I won't repurchase it again.
I have a Petkit Pura X automatic litter tray, and I got this litter as a less expensive substitute to use instead of the Petkit litter. It works well enough. I empty the litter collection tray daily, so I don't notice any odour problems with the litter. I have more of a problem with the smell of the petkit deodorising liquid, so I had to dilute it. The litter doesn't track too much, except that the cats/kittens like playing in it and deliberately flicking it around. The other problem is that some of them get in the litterbox and eat the fresh litter when I refill.
So want to love this product. Packaged in paper, minimal tracking due to size of individual pellets. Minimal dust (interesting comment about dusty paws, makes me wonder why/how) Good clumping. Both cats like it. Odour control is fine until you get closer to it. Ammonia smell is so strong, my stomach turns.
The first bag purchased end of June was great, only down side was the smell. But the re-purchased litter (end of July) no longer clumped. Initially I thought it was because I didn't have enough litter in the box, but despite adding more litter it never clumped up as it first did..
We got this litter as an alternative to buying the 2 kg bags of tofu litter in the supermarket. This is less dear, however it has a rancid smell. I'm not sure if it affecting the cats using it or not yet as I am gradually adding to the previous litter that does not have a rancid smell.
I ordered this because it was cheaper than the other tofu litter brands I use. There is a reason it's cheaper...it is nothing compared to the other brands. The clumping is ok, not great. But there is no odour control and it stinks!
