This Sculpey Bake and Bond is a lifesaver! My polymer clay projects sometimes left the oven with pieces falling off. I tried hot glue to secure the pieces but it was so messy. Now, I use Sculpey Bake and Bond to secure all the bits and pieces. Easy to use, thick enough not to drip and does the job. So happy to have found it

I use this when adhering two unbaked pieces and when adhering a baked a non baked piece. It dries a milky white however so sometimes the ooze out is visible after baking but I usually I paint the pieces anyway. It kind of goos the wet clay a little which helps adhesion vs smooshing two uncured pieces.

I really like using this when I’m making slabs with veins. After the paint dries on all the tiny pieces, I drizzle this on before I smush them all back together. I tried using it to glue the earring posts to the clay and had some of them come apart, so I don’t recommend it for that. Also, don’t leave it in a hot car or it will become too thick to work with.

Bake and Bond is absolutely amazing! I use this often in my work and it works so good. I recently made ornaments and it made the metal post stay in the clay better than some glues on the market. I recommend if you’re looking to adhere baked clay together in place of glue or if you’re wanting to add another material to your project and work.
Glue is glue! It really does help adhere raw clay to raw clay, etc. If you can't make it to your oven, you can always use the heat gun if you have one to make it cure right away (just be careful). It does dry when baked and works as intended. I'm glad I bought this alongside the softener. Thank you!
Michaels has a good selection of items for polymer clay artists at reasonable prices. Especially when you can use a coupon. I also like that the staff was friendly and asked me if I needed any assistance. Sculpey Bake & Bond does what is says. I'd purchase it again, from Michaels!
Worked great on the delicate parts of a figure I worked on.If you combine two pieces and then blend them together the clay does get a little shiny, but the shiny-ness goes away after baking. However, if you simply stick on a piece with a dab of the glue and some of the glue bleeds out between them, without wiping it off, it will bake from a white color to clear. I advise letting the glue set in a bit between the pieces before manipulating the clay around them and then baking.Otherwise I advise only using an appropriately small amount of glue needed per attached piece.
I cannot emphasize enough how much I use this stuff in my work. Obviously it's purpose is as an adhesive and it can make all the difference in the world. It fills gaps in pieced projects, it can be used for patch jobs or to layer raw and cured clay. It's basically a thicker TLS, which makes it perfect for sealing edges together etc. As someone who integrates raw and cured clay elements a LOT, this is stuff is truly indispensable.
Sculpey products are a passion of mine. I work with these products daily. I am happy with this product but wish they came in bigger sizes. I would also like to buy a little less glossy lacquer. Maybe, with more of a matte finish 😁
I was disappointed with this glue. I was looking for a glue to repair breaks or cracks in small sculpey figurines I make. The glue is not tacky enough to hold pieces well together till the glue dries enough to bake to cure it. It was also disappointing that you have bake it to cure it so it holds well. Rebaking already hardened sculpey caused problems and created breaks the figurine where there were none before attempting to repair with this glue. IF you can get the broken pieces to hold enough to stay together for an additional bake to cure the glue, it does hold well. But this is too difficult to use to be worth the trouble and additional breakage that may occur. Make it a less watery and more tacky and/or quick drying glue.
