SE Electronics X1S Studio Bundle Condenser Microphone Pack

I've been recording professionally for about 10 years and have worked in several studios. This setup is perfect for the project studio. The size combined with the portability make it perfect for the home/traveling musician. I'm currently using it in my production room to record references vocals as well as in the main room for artist that don't want to record in the booth. I would highly recommend the product to anyone who wants a professional sound on a budget.

This is a good low-cost entry-level package that works GREAT! I purchased this package specifically for the RF-X reflection filter but ended up using the microphone that came with it as well. It works perfectly in the small space I use to record narration. I didn't want to spend a ton of money so I decided to give this package a go. It definitely reduces The large-diaphragm condenser microphone really seems to cut out noise/rumbling. But most importantly the reflection filter helped reduce the ambient noise coming from various sources (a/c, ceiling fan, etc). It is small enough to take with me if I need to be mobile as well (I did that recently!). I feel like this package is definitely worth the cost. I am very happy with this product and would recommend it.

Clear and transparent sound

My old X1 broke down after several years of use and abuse, so got the newer X1S. I love the transparency of this mic in mids en highs. I use it for vocals and guitars which is perfect. It's not very warm in very the low end, wouldn't use it for micing the sub bass of a bass drum for example.

Great Product & Service!

Upon buying products for my new music setup I choose to go for Music Store. I was very happy with the entire experience provided by Music Store. The product was a great price for everything included and got the product within only a few days. Everything was securely packaged. This made me very pleased to see that everything was handled with care. My only problem was that the set did not include a microphone stand which i thought it included however this was fault of my own. Apart from that I am very happy with everything!

Great product, highly recommend

Bought this bundle for recording in my home studio to replace a dynamic mike had been using previously. The difference is night and day with this condensor, able to catch much more detail and better tonal quality. With quality pop filter and isolation shield this is a great package. To boot the service from MUSIC STORE was exemplary and would definitely buy from them again.

Great setup for spoken word.

I live in a tiny home and needed something to help record my baritone voice for an audio book project. The microphone is smooth and clear. I like the 80hz low cut option for my voice. The build quality on everything is good, although, the shock mount feels like the cheapest part. Nice bundle for the price

If you need a studio mic, just buy it!

I picked this up from the Newcastle store, and had some great advice from the staff which made me chose this bundle. In short, it's a brilliant piece of of kit. The mic is excellent and would stand up against much more expensive ones, and the reflection filter is like magic. Don't know how it improves the sound, it just does!

The SE X1S is Incredible value for money. It's way better than studio condensers I paid twice as much for ten years ago.The Studio Bundle makes it an even crazier bargain!Add my Yamaha MG10 mixer, my laptop and a mic stand, and I've got a very usable portable or home studio.And Andertons had the best price in the UK.Thanks, BB

practically perfect

This is a fantastic bundle over-all, with a few nitpicks. First, the good stuff-The microphone itself is fantastic. It sounds great (I am using this for voice-over work as well as singing in my home studio), and the build quality is very impressive (solid brass body). I have used microphones that cost as much as $3,000 and while this mic doesn't sound like that, it sounds VERY CLOSE for a heck of a lot less money. The reflection filter works as advertised, and it significantly reduced the "room tone" in my recordings (I am tracking in an apartment). The shock mount and pop filter are first rate (again, great VALUE).
