Best inflatable pillow I've ever used but it could be improved. I'd like a strap and a more common inflation hole. No air or bag pump I have fits it. I would prefer a cover that's removable for washing. The velcro works well, I like the extra height from it but I have broad shoulders. It feels really nice and very comfortable. I'd buy it again.

More comfortable than memory-foam neck pillows: I've bought then returned those so-called neck pain relief pillows, and spotted this at the REI store. Knowing that returns are easy and most products sold are top-notch, I got this on a weekday and had a better sleep right away. It's not hot on my neck too (which I hate about foam pillows). No loss of air due to leakage.I've propped my ankle up one night when it was sore, it stayed solid.I WOULD buy this again, and since it's nice and compact (at least the model I purchased is, there is a bigger model too), it will be bringing it along on a long bus ride later in the year.Helpful hint: adjust the inflation to slightly less than full for a nice firm but squishy feel.

I've had one of these for about 7 years. I write here today sadly because it finally developed a leak after making a "pop" sound and turning into a ball instead of its normal shape. It has been beaten on, MANY backpacking trips being inflated/deflated daily and shoved into my pack, airports, thru hikes, and more. I'm here today to buy another one. Some complain about "handwash only" non removable cover, but even on the trail, if it needed to be cleaned I just inflated it, rinsed it in a stream and left it outside of my pack for the day to dry. At home, do the same. Inflate, wipe gently with water and a little bit of detergent, and rinse off. Allow to dry. For the comfort, weight and ease of packing/use, this pillow is a 10/10 in my book!

This pillow is very comfortable and it is a great product from that perspective. My one and only complaint is the size of the fill valve fitting. It is so small that I can't use my Air Stream Pump Dry Sack to fill both the mat and the pillow. I don't understand why Sea To Summit would not have commonized the valves on each. Now I have to come up with an adaptor that should have existed in the first place. Two quibbles are:The stuff sack is a nice touch but I struggled to get the pillow back in again on the trail. The sack should either be larger or not included since it just ends up as waste. The Pillow Lock feature worked very well with my EtherLight XT Mat but I can't help but wonder how long the velcro-like grips will retain their strength.
First off, I have only had this pillow a couple of weeks. Yeah, it may cost a little more, but the size and weight of this pillow make it worth it. I was looking for something that would easily fit in with my gear without taking up the space my normal household pillow takes up. This totally fit the bill.I have only used this a couple of times now (first to see how it worked at home which worked great and had a similar feel though in a smaller scale than my home pillow and second on a car camping trip). This is very lightweight. It totally fit what I was looking for (packed, it fits into a small stuff bag which is smaller than a can of soda and barely weighs anything). That being said, the one negative I ran into with this is that being so light, it would fall off ... MoreFirst off, I have only had this pillow a couple of weeks. It totally fit what I was looking for (packed, it fits into a small stuff bag which is smaller than a can of soda and barely weighs anything). That being said, the one negative I ran into with this is that being so light, it would fall off my cot and was kind of like picking up a blow up ball with one hand while it keeps slipping away. What I ultimately did to correct this problem was to make sure it was well on my bed and tucked right up against my shoulder. The shape of this blown up works well for a side sleeper. My shoulder fits well while it shapes around giving me great support for my head. You can adjust the firmness by adding or easily taking out air (this is done by pressing the little button inside the inlet portion of the valve. This also packs easily. Open the second portion of the valve to let out all the air. I fold it small enough to fir the length of the stuff sack, then roll with the valve on the outside. It easily rolls small enough to fit in the stuff sack.Overall, if you are looking for a very compact air pillow that you can easily pack into your gear, this fits that bill.
I've woken up too many times with a headache from rectangular pillows or pillows that weren't thick enough. This one nestles nicely into your shoulder when sleeping on your side. It fits into the pillow sleeve on my Big Agnes sidewinder, but you need to insert it while half inflated then blow through the mesh to finish. It's lightweight and packs down tiny. Love it.
Not a huge pillow, but does the job! Fills up and deflates super easy and the stuff sack it comes with makes it pack as small as a pair of socks. If it’s too firm, just deflate it a little. Found that putting it in the hood of my sleeping bag keeps it from moving around during the night. Would recommend for light packers that need a pillow on the go - deep woods, hiking, camping.
I used this while trekking through Yosemite. It is standard as far as comfort. Most camping pillows slip around and pop out from under your head at night. So does this one. What was the real bummer was after it sat in my closet for a few years (7 to be exact) it didn’t inflate. I cut the outer fabric to see what was up and the plastic inside had disintegrated. 7 years sounds like a lot but my Camp Trails tent and LL Bean sleeping bag are 25 years old and going strong. So are all the other items that are 7 years old - water bladder, Northface backpack, camp light, etc. Wouldn’t buy this pillow again.
I went with the Regular size and it's comfy, light weight, and works well for side sleeping. the contour first perfectly when side sleeping. It's also surprisingly plush for an inflatable pillow. I was able to inflate it to a comfortable pressure with 1 1/2 breaths. easily folds back into the supplied stuff sack. weights right at 3.0oz on digital scale inside the stuff sack. could shave some grams off if you don't use the stuff sack but definitely minimal grams
So I've owned this pillow for about 3 or 4 years and it's been with me all over Michigan, in all four seasons, also been in Colorado on the CT, Great Smoky Mountains on the AT. I'm going to guess 20-30 nights. It doesn't leak. It's around a half an ounce heavier than the ultralight, so why wouldn't you? seriously, a half an ounce is worth it. And I have a 10-13 lb base weight, so it's not like I don't care. It does not leak. It (the regular) is thick enough for a person who usually folds his pillow double. It is very easy to blow up and deflate. It packs small. It is tough (though I only use it on my Big Agnes pad, I'm sure it could handle more scratchiness. My complaints? Mmmm, welllll. Can't think of any. Buy the premium, don't be a dope yo.
