Aeros premium is one of the best camping pillows on the market. Great weight, feel, and ease of inflation. Mine started to leak, after several years, at the welded seams. The internal air bag is not serviceable without unstitching the exterior fabric shell. Sea to Summit stands by their lifetime warranty and replaced it, no issues. I do however wish the pillow could actually last a lifetime. It was impossible to patch at the seams, so the old one went into the landfill. Hated to do that.

This is my second camping/backpacking pillow: my first was for camping: a very lumpy, big and cheap foam-air mixed pillow which did the job on a budget but i decided to treat myself to a specialized backpacking one since i began multiday backpacking to lessen the weight and the space. I like the product, it is as advertised. Has a little bit of padding underneath the soft face fabric and i don’t know if that’s what lessens the air noise when i move my head on it (not as noisy as my old air-foam pillow which is great) but i know it does keep the warmth (very nice in cool weather, not a deal breaker on hot summer days for me)Overall very satisfied. I've had one of these for about 7 years. I write here today sadly because it finally developed a leak after making a "pop" sound and turning into a ball instead of its normal shape. It has been beaten on, MANY backpacking trips being inflated/deflated daily and shoved into my pack, airports, thru hikes, and more. I'm here today to buy another one. Some complain about "handwash only" non removable cover, but even on the trail, if it needed to be cleaned I just inflated it, rinsed it in a stream and left it outside of my pack for the day to dry. At home, do the same. Inflate, wipe gently with water and a little bit of detergent, and rinse off. Allow to dry. For the comfort, weight and ease of packing/use, this pillow is a 10/10 in my book!

Comfy and great quality
21 November 2022

This will probably be my forever go to pillow! Super light, adjustable, comfortable, and perfectly sized. I've woken up too many times with a headache from rectangular pillows or pillows that weren't thick enough. This one nestles nicely into your shoulder when sleeping on your side. This pillow holds its shape, doesn't leak, is easy to inflate, and provides enough loft for side sleepers. Most camping pillows tend to "balloon" to something round upon inflation, causing your head to roll off. This one actually works. Yes, it's expensive, but it works. Definitely a keeper.

Good Sleep
1 April 2022

This pillow really helps me get a good night's sleep. It works well for me when I sleep on my side and on my back. Its one-way valve enables one to easily inflate and deflate it as needed, which I have sometimes done based on my sleeping position. Briefly pressing on the valve lets a little bit of air out. The pillow's covering is soft and I have used it both in warm weather and when winter camping where it stayed warm (I do keep it in the hood of my mummy bag). The only issue is that when the pillow is not fully inflated then one's head can move around a bit as the pillow "rolls" a bit with any movement. However, placing the pillow in the hood of a mummy bag reduces this as the hood effectively holds it in place. The shape and size of the bag's hood will affect how well the pillow is held in place.Pulling the main plug causes all the air to escape immediately. Despite the stuff sack being tiny, it is large enough to make packing up frustration free. The main takeaway I offer is that this pillow has a massive benefit over a stuff sack filled with clothing - I actually get good sleep!

Great Lightweight Pillow for May Uses
14 September 2021

First off, I have only had this pillow a couple of weeks. Yeah, it may cost a little more, but the size and weight of this pillow make it worth it. I was looking for something that would easily fit in with my gear without taking up the space my normal household pillow takes up. This totally fit the bill.I have only used this a couple of times now (first to see how it worked at home which worked great and had a similar feel though in a smaller scale than my home pillow and second on a car camping trip). This is very lightweight. It totally fit what I was looking for (packed, it fits into a small stuff bag which is smaller than a can of soda and barely weighs anything). It totally fit what I was looking for (packed, it fits into a small stuff bag which is smaller than a can of soda and barely weighs anything). That being said, the one negative I ran into with this is that being so light, it would fall off my cot and was kind of like picking up a blow up ball with one hand while it keeps slipping away. What I ultimately did to correct this problem was to make sure it was well on my bed and tucked right up against my shoulder. The shape of this blown up works well for a side sleeper. My shoulder fits well while it shapes around giving me great support for my head. You can adjust the firmness by adding or easily taking out air (this is done by pressing the little button inside the inlet portion of the valve. This also packs easily. Open the second portion of the valve to let out all the air. I fold it small enough to fir the length of the stuff sack, then roll with the valve on the outside. It easily rolls small enough to fit in the stuff sack.Overall, if you are looking for a very compact air pillow that you can easily pack into your gear, this fits that bill.

Inner plastic disintegrated after a few years
12 September 2022

I used this while trekking through Yosemite. It is standard as far as comfort. Most camping pillows slip around and pop out from under your head at night. So does this one. What was the real bummer was after it sat in my closet for a few years (7 to be exact) it didn’t inflate. I cut the outer fabric to see what was up and the plastic inside had disintegrated. 7 years sounds like a lot but my Camp Trails tent and LL Bean sleeping bag are 25 years old and going strong. So are all the other items that are 7 years old - water bladder, Northface backpack, camp light, etc. Wouldn’t buy this pillow again.

Not swapping this piece of gear my friend.
4 November 2022

So I've owned this pillow for about 3 or 4 years and it's been with me all over Michigan, in all four seasons, also been in Colorado on the CT, Great Smoky Mountains on the AT. I'm going to guess 20-30 nights. It doesn't leak. It's around a half an ounce heavier than the ultralight, so why wouldn't you? seriously, a half an ounce is worth it. And I have a 10-13 lb base weight, so it's not like I don't care. It does not leak. It (the regular) is thick enough for a person who usually folds his pillow double. It is very easy to blow up and deflate. It packs small. It is tough (though I only use it on my Big Agnes pad, I'm sure it could handle more scratchiness. My complaints? Mmmm, welllll. Can't think of any. Buy the premium, don't be a dope yo.

Solid Backpacking Pillow

Had purchased an Aero Premium Pillow (regular size) about 6 years ago for a backpacking trip in the Rockies. I had never used any type of pillow before - just clothes in a stuff sack. This is much, much better for me. For a few years I stopped backpacking, but when I picked it up again I found that my pillow would not stay inflated. Since this is an inner bladder covered by fabric, there was no way to patch it.The pillow has a lifetime warranty and I must stress how easy it was to obtain a new one. Stop searching for the perfect pillow
20 June 2022

I've slept on so many different pillows while backpacking that after using this one on and off for the past 4 years and "testing" others, I finally stopped looking for the perfect pillow because I already owned it in this one. Super soft material that isn't loud and is cozy against the skin of your face makes this a winner out the gate. I adjust the level of firmness by reducing the amount of air in the pillow inner body to make it super comfortable. The fact that this all breaks down super small and is non-existent in my pack at 4oz (Seriously, for 1.2 oz more just get the large and thank me later) and a wee smaller than a baseball it's the ideal backpacking pillow with comfort and compact size. Plus you can take the cover off and wash it with ease.
