I bought the large mat and am very happy with it. It self- inflated well. I left it for over 24 hours. I appreciated the response to my questions about the mat. Great customer service. I purchased a large dry sac from Sea to Summit. Now, I can just roll up the pad and don’t have to fold it in half. I like everything about the pad. I like the non-slip decals that will keep the pad and sleeping bag from separating during the night.

Yes, Ahhhhhhhh, comfort and I love it. I bike tour (bicycle) and I've lived this way, 24/7 for over 3 1/2 years now. And more before that so I've gone through 4 or 5? mattresses before this. They're really not meant to be slept on every day but hey, its the way I live. I sacrificed weight this time for comfort as I've got an E bike now and yes, this mattress is super comfortable. My thoughts in mattresses.... As with everything start out by asking "well, what do I want to do with it? What do I want it for? What are my needs" and that will narrow your search. I like a semi firm mattress but this is where you can come unstuck with any mattress whether self inflatable or not.. You can simply put too much air in. This will be alright if you're laying horizontal as your ... MoreYes, Ahhhhhhhh, comfort and I love it. I bike tour (bicycle) and I've lived this way, 24/7 for over 3 1/2 years now. This will be alright if you're laying horizontal as your weight's spread out but sitting, kneeling etc will blow it. So,,,,, with this mattress I just let it fill to its self inflating point and it's perfect. It gives me what I want when laying horizontal and I can sit or kneel on it no problems. It's strong, robust, got a decent patch kit and let's face it, if you sleep in an inflatable mattress 24/7 something may eventually give however this feels strong. Worth the money, great service from Snowy's as always,, I hope this helps 🙏🙂

Bought one of these for myself and my girlfriend. Fits side by side perfectly in our Big Agnes tent. We have tried numerous sleep pads over the years and this is by far the most comfortable, and SILENT. Doesn't sound like you're rolling around on packets of chips when you move around at night. Pack size is perhaps a little too big for overnight hikes, but it's so comfortable in comparison to other inflated mats that I think I'll actually just strap it to my bag and deal with the extra size! It's not heavy at all. Love it and will be gifting another to a friend!

I can’t say enough about how wonderful this sleeping pad is. I use it regularly for both car camping AND short backpacking trips. People think I’m crazy because it’s pretty heavy, but a beautiful night sleep is worth every ounce! I’d much rather cut weight elsewhere than go without this pad. It IS easy to get back in the stuff sack. (Do one initial “rough” roll, then one tight roll!) The flip switch on the deflate valve is genius.
I'm highly suspicious of this mat. When collapsed it takes up less than half of the size of my old mat, when inflated, it's an inch thinner than my old mat, but somehow, it keeps me warmer and it offers more cushion than my old mat. It's an amazing product, although it seems to defy all common sense. How could the mat be this much better than my old mat, one that I researched obsessively? It provides so much cushion that, while I had to fully inflate my 4" thick mat to get enough cushioning, I actually had to let some air out of this 3" mat because is was too firm. See? Suspicious. I suspect they're using technology from the future. And that's before I even get to the simple valve design that makes deflating so much easier than my old self inflating mat. Popular Mechanics rated this mat its most well designed outdoor mat and I can't find any fault with that appraisal.A couple things to keep in mind: I use this for car camping. While it deflates down very small, it's likely a little too big for any serious backpacking. Also, on its first use it takes several hours to fully self inflate. Obviously, you can inflate it yourself, but if you're planning on letting it self inflate to save your breath, just keep that timeframe in mind.In short, this mat is so well designed and made with such quality, that it's made me start my search for new camping gear with Sea to Summit's website.
I can’t say enough about this mat and the company that makes it. I’ve used this mat for backpacking, even though it’s a little on the heavy side. I’m a side sleeper and my back can really start to hurt while sleeping without a good mat (oh for the good old days when I could sleep on anything with no pain). This pad has been just right. The one-way valve is easy to use and makes inflating and deflating a breeze, which is particularly important when you’re trying to roll it small enough to fit in the bag. The recently upgraded stuff sack makes it so much easier to fit it in but you still need to carefully roll and make sure you get all the air out.The company is amazing. I had a defect my old mat that resulted from some manufacturing issues. They immediately sent me a new one…no questions asked. In the meantime, I was able to figure out how to fix the old one but the stuff sack had ripped (the old one was difficult to stuff) so I asked if I could purchase a new sack. Again, they replaced it immediately even though it was from the old pad. They simply wouldn’t accept the money. Customer service was always very responsive, knowledgeable and easy to work with. Sea to Summit has earned a lifetime customer. Shout out to Logan in Customer Service!
I'm on my second comfort plus pad. The first one I got didn't last me a full season before it developed a huge amount of pinholes and leaked. It was the rectangular one. I got sent a replacement pad (the tapered one - so not even what I originally bought), and again, only used it a couple of times before pinholes formed and left me on the cold ground once again.I gave it 3 stars because when it works, it is fantastically comfortable. I'm just sick of waking up to my hipbone in the ground.
This is the best sleeping pad I have used. I am a side sleeper and frequently find my hips digging through other pads but not with the Comfort PlusThe insulation is also above average and was comfortable in near freezing temps. It is quiet- many other inflatable pads are rather noisy which I find irritating. I do recommend having a pump to speed up the self inflation process. A stuff sack that is 10% bigger makes packing it back up a lot less work. Overall this is a great pad. I wish I had purchased it sooner.
We were initially very satisfied with these bags. Unfortunately, it didn't take more then a couple nights on it when the first one would be deflated in the morning. Shortly after that, the second one did the same. We recently tested it with water and found many leaks around the seams and a significant leak at the plug seam. The second bag had many pin holes on the surface of the pad, near the foot end. For the price of these bags, we were disappointed with the quality. Great bags otherwise.
As two other people have mentioned, it only took a couple of nights before it was deflated by morning. We just tested it in water yesterday and found one pad had a bad leak by the plug and several leaks around it, at the seams. The other pad had numerous pinholes on the surface of the pad, by the feet (like the other person mentioned). Really depressing as we haven't even had these pads a year and they aren't cheap! One positive comment is that they are really comfortable when properly inflated and stay that way. Now trying a different brand. :(
