Sea to Summit Pocket Trowel Nylon

This product is bad. I returned mine almost immediately. The pin that locks the handle in place is not strong enough and does not bear weight. In trying to dig a cat hole I was unable to puncture the earth without the handle collapsing.

The item came in two pieces and it was very fiddly and frustrating to get the button to line up with the hole. Once done, it could be collapsed correctly but the item does not feel very strong given that any torsion may dislodge the handle from the head. Getting the end off for the 'storage' section was also difficult and there is minimal room to store anything - certainly not enough toilet paper!

Bought this because i do multi day hikes in the high country and wanted to have hygiene/ leave no have covered. It is an excellent, lightweight trowel. Handy compartment in the handle, although a little small for your toilet paper. Maybe some wet wipes or plastic bags? I am very happy with the design and use. I had read people marking down the tool for being loose in the handle and the compartment bring difficult to open - I did not have any issue with this. Important to recognize everything is a compromise, you won't be digging post holes with this but its not intended to. Its uber light, compact and safe to stow in your pack.
