Great gaiters! Such good quality, can take a real hit in the scrubs.Sizing wise, I ordered a medium and I'm a size 9/40 womens boot and have long calves, and it was a good size. You could probably size down if you have thin legs, as there was a fair bit of room even over pants and plenty of strap. A small might have worked better, but still happy with the medium. But they were comfortable and robust.

Fantastic quality and fit. I work outdoors and was so sick of grass seeds filling my socks. I originally didn't get gaiters thinking they would be a pain to take on and off but these are fantastic. They are lightweight, I don’t even feel like I'm wearing them.The only thing is one size fits most might be a stretch. If you have muscly calfs or larger legs I dont know if this will fit. It fits me, but only just, and I have muscly legs but not huge. Perfect for me though.

G'day,The gaiter certainly does a lot of things right, the top buckle is tight/easy and doesn't catch on scrub, the velcro is long lasting, cleaning is easy with a toothbrush (Phytophthora), is relatively watertight, and the materials offer noticeable protection when hiking offtrack.What isn't so great is that button. If your track has prolonged sections of bog, good luck undoing the button afterwards. The first time I tried to take these gaiters off I was on my butt clutching my gaiters and doing a very bad impression of a rower. Eventually they came off but only after the button sheared. I bought these a month ago for hiking in Victoria. It gives me confidence when walking in grassed trails. The gaiters fit well and are comfortable. I bought these gaiters as the foot strap was replaceable. I’m 175cm with a size 10 boot, the large size fits perfect.
The fabric feels strong and they have nice looking hooks at the top. I have other ones that use a cord at the top to tighten them but these look much better and don't need tightening, they're more streamlined along your calf already. I haven't used them yet as they came too late for my hike (I bought them late and knew that might be the case) and I bought the other pair as a plan B, but I like these enough to keep both and use the others as my back up going forward. Only thing I wonder about is that you cannot tighten the bottom around your ankle and that seems a bit loose, but it'll probably be fine.
Great product, have used them extensively for multiple days hiking through wet and muddy conditions, they kept everything dry while also keeping the leaches at bay. They also provide peace of mind for any snake encounters and I’ve found them to be very well fitting and breathable. For the great price at Snowy’s I would highly recommend this product to anyone who is hiking or working in the bush.
Will stop your shins getting carved up on sticks, rocks.Also protects rainpants. Minimises water in boots/socks & prevents debris entering boots. Also stops creepy crawlies & leeches from having a party! Will inspire confidence in challenging situations where hesitation may cause injury or cost energy/time & mental self doubt.
I got these as a gift from my husband for Christmas. What I really liked about them was the length of the gaiter that covers my calf as opposed to OR's gaiter. I also liked the rigidity the velcro seemed to add to the gaiter staying up on my calf and not slipping down. The major flaw in these is that there is a hard rubber plastic circle on the inside ankle of these gaiters which seems to be where the foot strap is connected to and causes abrasion. Within about 1-year a hole had developed on the inside of the ankle area. When I reached out to Sea to Summit's warrantee, their representative said, 'is extremely rare and wouldn’t fall under a manufacture warranty issue'. The disclaimer from the manufacturer is that these gaiters do not prevent snake bites, but I am confident that these canvas gaiters over a solid pair of pants with boots would prevent almost all snake bites save for the largest of snakes (if that), in which case I'd see it first else be very unlucky. The materials and workmanship is excellent quality and the metal buckles and press studs give robustness. The velcro and the underboot strap are great quality and I anticipate them to last a long time. I'm very happy with these canvas gaiters and anticipate I'll have them for a long time. Thumbs up.
I got these gaiters at the last minute for my Overland walk over 6 days in March 2019 as the week before our walk the weather was really cold and wet. Delivered within a couple of days which was great. We had great warm weather during our walk and the track was not muddy at all so I could have done without them altogether. However, I thought I'd give them a try as I have never worn gaiters before. Once I figured out how to get them on they were really comfortable. We later saw a couple of tiger snakes on the track and some spiky low bushes on narrow sections of the track meant they gave my calves good protection. They are so comfortable I wore them for most of my walk. No sweating. Excellent. In the wash after and ready for my next trip!
