It's a mesh net that fits over all but the most silly of hats. Has a draw string on the bottom, and a little pouch to carry it in. It works as advertised. 10/10 would buy it again.

This is a gift for my son who always complains about the black flies we have in Michigan. Good quality fabric. Great lightweight addition to his back pack.

Camping in the Adirondacks in late May is either cold, or being swarmed with biting flies. Sure you can keep a smokey fire going and keep the monsters at bay but eventually you have to leave the relative comfort of the eye-watering smoke. Enter this head net. It won't protect all of you if nature calls, but I have zero bites on my head and neck. It works best over a hat. It allows me to laugh at the blackflies. Totally worth it.
This bug net did the job! I used it in the Tetons in late July, when the mosquitoes were out, and they didn’t bother me at all (at least, not around my head). Easy to use, light weight, packs small. Very practical addition to my outdoor kit.

Great product for the outdoors (including your gardens). Biting bugs (mosquitoes, thrips, etc) have been a real problem this year, with the cool and wet spring. This well-designed and well-made product worked as described; can't miss with this product (especially if one is sensitive with topically applied products).
The photo does not do this justice. The photo shoes someone wand you can see their face and they smile and so forth--in reality, you'll have a thick black net over your head and not only can others not see you, it's very hard to see out.I appreciate that a fine mesh can help repel even the tiniest of insects... but if I trip over a log or walk into a tree stump it won't help.I've worn head nets before and they're okay. This one is unlike any of the others and is way too thick of a netting for typical use.If you're looking for super-thick net for your head, this is it. Othersie, maybe try on another before buying.
We are looking forward to using our mosquito head nets during the next few weeks in Costa Rica. They came very promptly and seem very sufficient and comfortable looking for our needs. Appreciate the quick turnaround time from Moosejaw!!
The net is very good for midgies as small holes. Unfortunately the net is not big enough to put over brimmed hat, like packaging suggests. Hopefully sea to summit will make a bigger version as fabric is great.
