I purchased this one in Pacific blue, 20 liters, as a day bag for a backpacking trip through Europe and it was excellent for that. It would carry my SLR camera with a 200 mm lens, a bottle of water, a light sweater, and other loose items like keys and smalll souvenirs. Very resistant, not a single tare or zipper malfunction. By the way, the zipper that runs all across the upper section of the bag is great, I could get stuff in and out of it so easily. It is fairly water resistant, but I don't recommend using it during heavy rain. And when not in use it packs very small, I didn't need it to pack into a smaller size like the nano. By the way, I recently purchased the nano 18 lt and so far I don't like it, I prefer the Ultra-Sil Travel Day Pack 1000x more. This one got ... I absolutely loved this day pack. I was hesitant to purchase as I felt the price tag was a little steep for the product, but it is worth its weight in gold. I used it daily on the Camino Frances this past September/October. The zipper did not fail, and it held everything I needed for the day- fruit, water, poncho, wind breaker, and fleece jacket. I also used it for shopping a few groceries daily. It was really comfortable and I couldn't feel the weight. I did however have to tie the straps closer together at the top of the bag as they were too wide for my shoulders. I would suggest that perhaps a design modification be researched for this particular issue. I highly recommend this day pack. It was a life saver.

I love how this little pack collapses into something so tiny! It comes with a little carabiner to attach to your larger pack. I've used this from everything to day hikes to gym trips. My favorite usage of this is carrying water back to camp, it's lovely not having to fully unpack / haul my full pack to go get water or climb up to a vista. The only problem I've had with it is that the stitching around the drawstrings on the attached stuff sack is quite delicate. I was disappointed to discover it frayed and tore after only a couple of weeks of use while backpacking. I ended up sewing it back together with a needle and some thread, and it works fine again. I plan on being more mindful when I restuff it in the future, there's definitely an order to it. I'd be happy to ... MoreI love how this little pack collapses into something so tiny! I hope Sea to Summit releases a video / tutorial on the unique little way it's best to repack it.

Great packability, but not super impressed with the product overall. First the bag is very translucent and I wasn't expecting that. Seems sturdy enough for a light gym bag, but not good for any real activity with moderate movement as the straps don't keep the pack securely in place. Beat myself up pretty bad jogging down a mountain with a water bottle and a rain jacket being the only content of the bag. If you're just using it for around town walking or light biking this pack will probably work fine (groceries, rain gear, etc...). The carabiner is convenient for carrying the packed down version of this product. As for weight, it feels like nothing on your back, so I can see some scenarios where this pack might come in handy.
I picked up this ultralight and super compact daypack for our dayhikes in the Grand Canyon. As an REI Adventures Guide, we mix in some secret dayhikes and just need to bring a filter, inReach, medical kit, and some snacks. Used it this past weekend on the Hermit Loop trip and it works great. Packs down to almost nothing, weighs 2.5oz, has 20L of storage in 1 large packet and the straps are wide enough to be comfortable without a hipbelt or sternum strap. This is a great addition to my Guide kit.
I have been pretty darn happy with everything I have purchased from SeatoSummit thus far and this little guy is no exception. How this daypack can fit in that little pouch is an optical illusion. This pack will be on the Camino with me. I will not need to bring an extra bag for groceries. This daypack will suit me just fine for going to the market for food (they don’t give out plastic bags at the markets in Spain, which is a good thing!), packing my change of clothes to the showers and any other short day trips in the bigger towns (to the Guggenheim in Bilbao) I am also thinking that it could be the perfect small pack if I wish to send my Gregory pack on through the Spanish Correo to give my hips a break for one or two days. I looked at other lightweight day packs, but the SeatoSummit daypack left the rest in the dust as far as weight goes. Every ounce counts when you’re walking 500 some miles. Plus I got it on a sale form the SeatoSumit website. As most things I own, I treat this little guy well and I will not overload it just to test it out, I’ll just put what I need for the day (4 to 5 pounds) should be just fine. Love the color too (dark teal).
If you thru hike or travel get this! Weighs almost nothing, packs down to nothing. This pack has come in so handy so many times, will never travel or hike without one!Thru hiking: Very useful for town days. Grocery runs, laundry, day trips, etc. Especially if you have a bike to borrow to get around town. You don't have to unpack your whole backpack, just use this pack. Obviously you wont have as much room as your regular backpack though. Perfect if you are slack packing or want to drop your pack to do an out and back to a peak or something.Travel: Same uses for around town, going to the beach, short day trips. So small you can just have it with you all the time in case you need it.
I love this daypack. I keep it with me almost all the time when I am traveling. I carry a much larger backpack or briefcase in general, and I stash this inside. I move around lots (I live and work in New York City, my wife lives and works in San Francisco, and we also travel). So the purpose of this daypack is to be handy for overflow. It is perfect for that purpose. The main benefit is it tucks into its own built in bag. It also is stronger than you might suppose. The only downside is a simple consequence of what it is; as with characters in Greek tragedy, its strength is its weakness. The issue is it is very thin and has no padding. So whatever is in there, its shape will push against you and be felt on your back.
This bag is super light and packs crazy small. there are no internal components besides the bag it folds itself into. So no pouch for bladder or any organization. The straps are wide enough but easily squish to a thinner size however they don't dig into your skin, just kind of annoying. At first I thought it would be uncomfortable but took in on a quick 3mi hike with a few water bottles, hoodie and a few misc items and I was very pleased with how it worked out. I tested with a bladder and it just kind of lays at the bottom but then I found a hole and it started to leak so I couldn't fully test it. There is no hole for the bladder Jose either z you'll just have to leave the top unzipped a little and use a small tie to keep the zippers from separating, a bread tie or ... As a second day pack when you're heading off for day walks from a base camp, this works well. Big enough to take most necessities. Small and light enough to carry in your main pack. BUT keeps falling off my shoulder and that's not good. A small chest belt may prevent this. I don't understand why it happens. Straps seem wide enough. May fashion something out of shock cord using mini carabiners to secure it to the shoulder straps and see how that works. If not for that, I'd give it a 5.
