Bouts this a month ago before a last minute vacation with the family. It is a LIFESAVER!packs small and unassuming in your bag, unfolds to perfect size to carry around when shopping and you didn’t expect to be carrying so many things, take to the beach to keep clothes and a towel dry for after your swim, and keep the wet towel and suit from making you wet when carrying back!My family went back and purchased a few more. Now we all have them in our cars as ā€œjust in caseā€ bags - Emergency diaper supplies, picking up rocks and sea shells you didn’t know you needed to have, even keeps fire starting supplies dry for camping tripsWell worth the pennies it costs for the mountains this little thing can move!

I have used this pack a couple of times as a day pack in wet weather. Not a hard rain but several hours each day of off and on light rain/snow mix. Was very happy that the contents of the pack did stay dry. I bought this with the intention of using it as a bag to pack any extra clothes for backpacking and will also serve as a day pack if needed during the backpacking trip. I have been on more than 1 backpacking trip when plans changed and I wished I had brought a day pack. On my day hikes I was able to comfortably carry a bottle of water, snacks, and a few more items. I love this pack. When compressed in its sack it truly is the size of an egg. And it really does weigh only an ounce.I've been using it so far for bike commuting. It's comfortable and stays in place on my back as I zip around on my bike. I'm surprised at how stable it is. I've never needed to adjust its position or nudge it back into the proper location. It sits exactly where I want it. I generally pack it with a couple of pieces of clothing, wallet, phone, keys, and a small lunch. The past couple of days I've loaded it a bit more with some bags of fasteners. I'm guessing the weight has been around 8 lb max. When heavily loaded the straps dug in a little, but I only noticed because I was specifically trying to see if it would happen. Since I only pack it lightly the straps are ideal the way they are.I also keep it in my main daypack when traveling in case I need an extra bag for some reason. I'm looking forward to using when backpacking this winter. It should be great for short hikes away from camp.I'll probably buy another one to keep in my car.

So impressed with how small this backpack is. Perfect for small day trips while out for multiple days in the back country. It also works pretty much nothing! Really happy with this purchase.

Simple, light, and functional
27 August 2020

I purchased four of these - one for each member of my family to use for short day hikes on layover days when we are backpacking. They are sufficiently large to carry a water bladder, lunch, and a rain jacket. These packs are ultra simple with no frills, but are great quality and very functional for what they are. I'm also using mine to contain all the loose small pieces of gear that usually knock around in my pack when we are out backpacking. Nice to get two uses from one piece of exceedingly light gear!

So handy!
8 November 2022

This compacts so small that it fits easily into a pocket or purse… yet it can hold so much! Out for a day and tossed in some used books and water and a bottle of wine on our last trip. Conversely, we can use this to carry sweaters downtown before dinner and then roll it up to shove in a pocket to come home.Straps are not padded but for short day jaunts they work fine. So far no signs of wear despite regular use!

Super lightweight and packable
28 July 2020

I wouldn't use this to carry a bunch of books or a laptop, except in a pinch, but I do find it perfect for carrying a couple of jackets or sweaters downtown and then stashing away when the temp drops and the layers are needed. Likewise, perfect to take out along with a stowable/packable tote in case your trip to the market or store is more lucrative than you had expected. It stows down to an amazingly tiny size -- smaller than "palm of your hand" in the description, even. Smaller than my dog's paw (though to be fair, he's a Great Dane, so his paws are rather generous). So it's super portable, easy to throw into your bag for a weekend trip to the city in case you shop too much, or need a light, unobtrusive day pack.At first I thought the price was jacked, but now ...Ā MoreI wouldn't use this to carry a bunch of books or a laptop, except in a pinch, but I do find it perfect for carrying a couple of jackets or sweaters downtown and then stashing away when the temp drops and the layers are needed. The ideal "just in case" backpack
30 November 2022

It is hard to fathom just how small this thing packs up to be. I'll be tossing it in my carryon for trips when I just might need a backpack at some point. I also plan to use this on a 4400km bikepack race. I will tuck it away and only use it when I need to carry more food and water than normal.

I was pleasantly surprised by how useful this pack is. I take it with my for runs in the city in my pocket and if I need to pick up groceries on the way home it’s perfect for doing that. So small and light wait I don’t even notice it in my pocket. It fits quite a lot and is a lot stronger than I thought it would be. A great stocking stuffer for the holidays. Would buy again in a heart beat.

I bought this as a day bag when bikepacking or backpacking on days where we can drop the tent and go for a mini adventure. I use it as a stuff sack when not strapped to my back, as it weighs the same as a regular ultralight stuff sack. I made a small tear on my first one of these on it's first use, but it was replaced, and the second seems to hold up better. I trust it, but be somewhat careful with it.
