I was looking for something that would be tough enough for daily use in the hospital. I worked with the cust serv rep and she suggested quite a few. We settled on this one because of ease of movement and a few little extras that we have not had with scales in the past. i was a little on the fence about this purchase. She assured me that I had 14 days to make up my mind which eased the process a little. It has been 6 months and I love this scale. We loved it so much we bought a second. I love this scale! It was easy to put together and it works perfectly! It's very accurate and the numbers are so easy to read - can't say that about a lot of scales. Bonus - you can pull out the rod to measure height if you want!
Well worth the money to have a scale that is reliable, accurate and does not fluctuate widely every time you step on it. I have tried many less expensive and even more expensive scales. My search has now ended.

We have not fully used it just yet as we are getting everything in place at this time. But so far, it seems to be what we were looking for.
Seca 803 scale is a very good scale seems to be reliable, it does need quite a bump to activate it, a light on the numbers would improve it.
The only thing a bit odd about this scale is how you turn it on. Just stepping on it will not do the trick, you have to lift it a bit or drag it on the floor an inch or so. Once you get used to it it is really easy to use. It keeps the last weight for about 15 seconds before it resets it to 0000 and then in another 10 seconds or so, if you do not step on it it turns off. Digits are large but the display is not illuminated so you need direct light to read the weight. Over all, I am very happy with the scale.
