Secrid Cardprotector - Sand

Between us, my wife and I have purchased 4 or5 of the Cardprotector wallets (and accessories) in various colors. We each carry one, AND they make great gifts. These are great wallets - lots of comments from others. My only complaint is with the finish on the gold colored wallet; we have purchased two of those and the quality of the color / finish on both was only so-so. We have also purchased red, black, violet and silver, and all are beautiful. I recently saw these wallets for sale in the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. Cool!

This is the best gift I could have gotten my fiancé. First of all the price is awesome for what it does. My fiancé would take out a card from his bulky wallet to bring into a restaurant or bar and then the entire dinner he would check his pockets to make sure his card was still there. With this new card protector, he has a safe place to store the couple of cards he needs when we are out and he doesn't have to worry. Since its small he can have it in his pocket without it bothering him or I can store it for him in a small wristlet that I use. Additionally, he has gotten many "woah" "wow" comments when he uses it because it pushes the cards out in such a neat way. I am going to buy another one for each of the guys in my life (my 3 brothers and my dad).

I tried this and the titanium Ridge wallet. I like this one a lot better, due to the convenience of the lever system. Pull the lever, and your cards are fanned out for easy selection. Fantastic!I just wish there were more sizes available. This holds 6 cards. Ideally I'd like 8 or 9. The Ridge holds up to 12, but without a lever mechanism it is too slow and clumsy by comparison.

Best money ever spent.

Outstanding product. So light and compact and the mechanism for pushing out your cards is addictive and so smooth. Selecting the card I want is two simple movements from just one hand. It looks fantastic in brushed metal (just don’t keep it in the same pocket as your keys!)If you like to keep your cash with your cards I recommend also getting the band to go with it. It compliments it perfectly but perhaps this should come with the product? Overall exceptionally happy so I bought another in case I lose it!

Great product - cost is high though!

I really like my Card Protector, it’s a great product and holds 6 cards in a really small package. The leather feels premium and the stitching is done to a high quality. The one downside is you can get a Secrid protector for a lot less, without the premium leather outside.I would highly recommend this product, as I do love it, just be aware the cost is my only downside, but as with other Carl Friedrik products I own, the quality is second to none.

Like a Boss

Do you know who pulls a floppy old walked out of their back poket? Your Grandpa, or worse yet your Dad. Unless your Dad is a wise guy... if that’s the case just do what he does, minus the extortion maybe. But even a wise guy needs a place to put his fake ID and Union cards. Carry your cash and your cards like a Boss. This wallet looks tight works great and with the money band is the complete package.

Quality/durability could be better

Looks great and does what it is supposed to do.However, the build quality is pretty poor. It does not look like it will hold up if you carry it daily for more than a few months.The stitching on the leather seam side is already showing some signs of fraying after a month of light usage. The leather edges aren't well protected and will start to rip/crack if you aren't super gentle all the time. Overall, this is a useful mini-wallet-replacement if you keep it in a well-protected briefcase, but not if you want to carry it on you in a coat or whatever pocket.Also, if you put a card in the outer pocket, a gap will appear between some parts of the leather and the inner shell (exposing some glue).Not really an issue for me, but as mentioned by others, the ... MoreLooks great and does what it is supposed to do.However, the build quality is pretty poor. You might be able to fit 1-2 in the outer pocket if they are on the smaller end (less wide than a normal credit card), but they won't be easy to access, and will likely get bent.Overall, I really enjoy the aesthetics and minimalistic approach of the Cardprotector, but the build and material quality should be improved.

Really good wallet

I first got it for myself and it was really practical. I can fit up to 6 cards comfortably in there. Had it for 6 months too and it’s very durable. When I drop it, for example, the cards don’t fall out. So I also got it for my girlfriend as a Valentine’s gift. She likes it too.

Beautifully made. Very smart and practical to use. The card protector works well and the lever method for displaying and selecting a card feels secure and easy to use. The leather cover is perfectly stitched.Two great brands working together to produce a really special wallet.
