If you bite your nails, this watch will help cure you, as the crown is small and seems to be recessed into the case. This is a good feature, as it encourages you to remove the watch from your wrist before you adjust it. This watch is not hand-wound. You need to wear it or put it in a winder to keep it going from one day to the next. It will keep running by itself overnight. You cant go wrong with a Seiko. Grab this one before they discontinue it, as the next level of Seiko entry watches are bigger and more expensive.

In my opinion this has to be the best value available for a new automatic/mechanical watch. It is good quality and keeps time just as well as alot of higher end watches. Another plus is the size. It's getting difficult to find new automatic watches that aren't clownishly large and gaudy. This one is a great, "classic" sized watch that will wear well on a variety of wrist sizes. It has a nice quality weight and feel without being too heavy. I do recommend investing in a good quality leather band (strap) as it wears more comfortably and in my opinion it improves the aesthetics of the watch. To sum it all up, this is a "working persons" watch for people who want a classic, time tested timepiece that is affordable and durable. Thanks Seiko!

It's a great watch, accurate for an all mechanical watch. I love the self winding action on it. Easy to read and stylish. It's been a conversation starter, which was unexpected and welcome. Durable little watch too. It's already taken a couple of licks, but keeps on ticking.
With street pricing of $65, and the occasional eBay coupon code, it's hard to argue against this being a great buy. The good points include a modern take on a military style dial, solid construction, and a generally reliable and acceptably accurate 7s26 movement. The movement isn't decorated, but it's still cool for the novice to be able to see it work. The watch is very lightweight, and the spinning of the rotor can be felt. My first reaction is that it's a cool reminder that you're wearing a tiny machine on your wrist, but I don't know if it would eventually become annoying. The size is an advantage for some, and a negative attribute for others. At 37mm it's small by most modern watch standards, but most issued military watches were even smaller at 36mm. If your wrist is 7" or smaller it's going to look fine. Also nuetral is the 30m water resistance. This is fine for everyday use, but 30m doesn't mean it's intended to be worn while swimming. It is a field watch, after all. The only significant negative (at this price point) is the strap. The tan dial and tan strap is too... tan. I put it on a Maratac ACU gray strap, and it looks good. Beyond aesthetics, though, the canvas strap is stiff and scratchy. Ditch it, and factor an 18mm replacement into the the equation.
I like the old-style Seiko 5s with the crown at four o'clock, so this was a decision to buy this style while they're still available. Nice to have a pilot-style dial in a smaller case, the fabric strap suits it perfectly and I really like the colours, quite unusual in field watches. Very happy with it!
I really like this watch and so far it’s keeping good time. It looks good and feels good when wearing. It’s not a large watch but not too small either and the face and hands are easily legible even with my ageing eyesight. The NATO style strap is comfortable and fits my average sized wrist well. I always make a point of making sure that the watch is wound by the automatic movement before I retire to bed at night which keeps the watch going until I wear it again the next morning. I really do like this watch and I hope that it gives me good service for many years to come.
I recently purchased a Seiko SE-SNK807 Men's Navy Blue Silver Water Resistant Automatic Wristwatch. It is a fantastic watch. The quality is superb, The see-through case allows me to see the self-winding movement. It looks really good. It is my favorite watch to wear during the day. My favorite nighttime watch is a Timex waterproof Expedition watch with Velcro strap and Indiglo night light. My new Seiko watch has not been damaged when I wear it in my swimming pool. I like the blue strap and the blue watch face. I love this watch!
This is a great timepiece. Love the way it looks and feels on my wrist. The design is very versatile, even though this is considered a field watch with the right band it can be used as a business casual accessory. You have to love the fact that this mechanical-automatic watch can be an investment, if you are into collecting this should be in your collection. The blue dial especially. The only thing I never did like about the watch is the wristband. The canvas military-style does not match with a product of this quality. There are a generous amount of alternatives out there, and as stated before, the right one can enhance your purchase.
This is my fourth Seiko movement automatic watch over several years. While the styling is quirky and the hands hard to read in low light I am falling in love with the thing. Primarily because it is spot on accurate now for better than two weeks. I have had accuracy problems with the others, perhaps because of age, tried to adjust them on my own and just made them worse. Really just happy to have this on my arm and it was way cheap, probably because of the funky color and face design.
