Just beautiful, the face of this piece and all of the presage line is just stunning. I’ve always heard good things about Seiko, but for this price point, it really is one of the more beautiful pieces. Most people will pair it with dress wear, but I really feel like it can be be dressed down as well. If you can snag this on sale, it’s a wonderful watch for the collection!

Beautiful. Pictures do not serve justice to this watch. Considering what you pay, you get a lot of value. Don't be put off by the amount of gold on this - the "rose gold" and the brown dial complement each other perfectly, and don't look too blingy or distracting. Deployant clasp saves the band, allowing it to last much longer than standard buckles. Mine is actually quite accurate; more accurate than the specs indicate for the 4R35 movement. Hacking, self-winding, and hand-winding, with display case backing using hardlex crystal top and bottom (hardlex is Seiko's proprietary crystal, and in wearing Seikos and watches with sapphire daily for decades, I believe hardlex is about 95% as scratch-resistant as sapphire). Again, the beauty of this watch cannot be overstated. In certain lighting, it captures and glistens the light from the hour indexes, the dial itself, and the hands. Even the second hand counter-balance has a small diamond shape on the end of it; a nice touch for a watch at this price point. The crown is big, so hand-winding isn't problematic, which is good, and it is signed with Seiko's famous "S" insignia. Date window is legible and barely noticeable (I wish they sold one with no date, but I'm not knocking points off because I knew this before I purchased it). I'm so enamored with this watch I'm thinking of grabbing the white one from the same series.

Gift for my husband

I couldn’t wait to give this watch to my husband for Christmas! The other reviews are 100% spot on when they say the pictures don’t do this watch justice—it is an absolute GORGEOUS timepiece. I couldn't stop looking at it when it arrived! I wasn’t a fan of the band it came with, and neither was my husband, but that always easy to replace. He now has a metal link band that’s much more comfortable and makes the watch look even better (if that’s possible!). I will for sure be buying one in a different face color for him, but you really can’t go wrong with this silver face. He’s only worn it a handful of times and gets so many compliments!

Good looker, perfect precision

I had to replace my last watch after ten years. I was apprehensive until i found this model.It's perfect....The strap is solid, I like the tow tone silver and it gives me a sense of security, it's not going to break. The watch itself is smooth and flat, which means the face can be seen easily. I like the blue face, it seems that I can see it in any light conditions.

Review Title

Lovely watch at a great price with an unusual if not unique dial. Although this is the "Presage branded reissue" cocktail watch and lacks the apparently better 6r15 movement I feel the lower profile, bigger crown, complete rather than segmented hour markers and gold rotor are actually a remarkable improvement on the original. MUCH better value than the crazy used prices for a SARB 065. I very quickly changed the strap for something a little less glossy. Accurate too, out of the box its running about +1 seconds when worn and -1 overnight, crown up, I hope this continues.

Seiko Presage Silver Dial, visible mechanism on back

I bought this watch to replace a previous Seiko automatic watch with a metal strap that the pin keeps breaking and can't seem to ever be fixed! He's been wearing a cheap watch since but he left it in hospital after having surgery last week so I gave him his Xmas present early. He ABSOLUTELY loves it. Especially the visible working mechanism at the back. His late father was a Watchmaker and he said he would have loved this watch! Field's sent it next day by courier to my door. We are both thrilled with the watch and service (it was beautifully packaged too)

Simplicity and class defines this

Simplicity and class defines this watch for me. The blue dial in the sun and different lightings, is extremely attractive.The just over 40mm size is perfect I find having a 63/4” wrist and the weight Is perfect.It’s basically a dress watch but I find myself wearing it in the day. Can highly recommend it and Starbuy who always offer the best and speedy service and price.

Surprising Appeal From Seiko Samurai

I own a number of watches and rotate then regularly but this one has been on my wrist since I bought it and after three weeks I realise it ticks a lot of boxes. I have long been a fan of the Victorinox Innox watch with its tough angular look and I think that is the first feature that attracted me to this watch. Its short angular lugs and solid appearance is confirmed on the wrist. It is quite heavy and has great wrist presence, giving me that wear in all conditions comfort. This is the one watch in my collection that I feel I could wear everyday, on any occasion, perhaps with the exception of dress functions. This watch is easy to read in pretty much all situations with clear indices, just right hands (some watches have hands too big, others so small you struggle to read at a glance), and this is my first experience with serious Seiko lume - it is great. If I have one complaint it is with the weight. I find I need to keep the strap reasonably tight to stop it slipping sideways on my wrist, and just on that point, I only have a 6.5 wrist but short lugs mean this watch wears very well. Accuracy is very impressive. I have not adjusted it since first wind and it has lost barely 15 seconds after 3 weeks. Value - I originally intended buying a Seiko SKX before they ran out but this Samurai popped up and at A$340 (new with tags) it was too good to pass. It is more refined than the SKX, has a better movement with hand-wind and hack, and for me has much more appeal. I knew I would like this watch but I have been surprised at its appeal. It definitely has a feel good factor and the honeymoon shows no sign of abating.
