The Seiko HGK003P1 145th Anniversary Limited Edition Chronograph combines Seiko’s 145-year heritage with a bold, contemporary design inspired by the cultural history of Tokyo. Its striking deep purple dial takes inspiration from Edo Purple (Edo Murasaki), a traditional Japanese colour associated with Edo, the historic name for Tokyo. The purple dial is complemented by gold-coloured accents, creating a distinctive contrast that reflects the anniversary collection’s connection between Seiko’s heritage, Japanese tradition and a bright future. Powered by Seiko’s Calibre 8T63 quartz chronograph movement, the HGK003P1 offers hours, minutes, small seconds, a 24-hour hand, date display and a chronograph capable of measuring up to 60 minutes in 1/5-second increments. The movement provides an accuracy of approximately ±15 seconds per month and a battery life of around three years. The 40mm stainless-steel case provides a versatile presence on the wrist, while the sapphire crystal, LumiBrite hands and indexes and 10-bar water resistance add practical functionality for everyday wear. Completing the design is a screw case back and three-fold clasp, reinforcing the watch’s robust and practical character.
