Seiko Contura's have a sophistication like no other watch within the same priceline, such as a Citizen. The Contura line has a great bulky face with a slim band, and great weight. I love this watch, and will be collecting more from the Contura line.

My Seiko Kinetic (that I loved and miss) finally died after 18 years. The gold tone finish was still really very good on it after all that time! I have always worn a gold tone watch for work with my suits and in the years since I have bougt a watch, they seem to be far less popular. This one is AMAZING asthetically and after a few minutes with the instruction book, it's not very complicated. The watch is very heavy, which I like, and feels very solid. It looks like it cost much more than it did and gets a lot of notice. I look forward to seeing how the solar engine fairs over time and hope it will work as well as the Kinetic did. I also hope the gold finish is as tough and long lasting as my previous Seiko. I am very impressed at the watches ability to maintain the ... I am a watch fanatic, pretty much have every watch I've owned since my childhood. This watch is among the prettiest, most accurate and durable watch I've ever owned, and I've only bought Seiko watches.
I cannot get customer service in order to have my watch repaired. When I bought it, I noticed that the indicator hand that points to the day of the week is between the days instead of pointing directly at the day.I called about this and was told that because it was in the middle of the day when I called that the hand would be correctly between the days instead of pointing directly at the day. The hand would move as the day went on. I accepted this answer. My son liked the watch and bought one. The indicator hand that points to the day of the week on his watch points directly to the day, not in between days as mine does. Then I noticed that when I set the watch, the same indicator does not point directly at the"M" (month), "L" (leap year) or "AL" (alarm). The watch ...
