Best cans I've used

Overall:I've been playing since the late 80's. I've used all of the top rated dj headphones except for the HD25's. I've been foolish until now. The sound is so crisp and clean. I can get my beats matched way faster because I can hear the music better. So now I have more time to get creative in my mix. If you're looking for the best quality dj headphones your search should end here. You'll be glad you chose these when you do.

These headphones are fantastic. in the box you get the headphones which have the long coiled cable, a shorter strait cable (which i haven't yet used), a pair of felt type material ear pads and a 3.5mm to 6.3mm jack adaptor that can be screwed on. the coiled cable has a straight 3.5 mm jack and the straight cable has a right-angled 3.5mm jack each have the option to add the screw on 6.3mm jack adaptor. Another thing is how comfortable these are. i did a 7-hour gig with the headphones in constant use and felt no fatigue or aching with my ears. Also where the sound cancellation is so good with these headphones i don't have to have the level of them so high when i'm cueing songs, putting less strain on my ears. I would highly recommend these headphones and they get another vote from me for being an industry standard. Absolutely worth the money.

Happy I finally made the leap to a decent set of headphones
21 September 2021

Hadn't bought a decent set of headphones for DJing before (usually bought cheap 10 pairs but went through them) so felt like a lot of money to splash out on these, however, having only used them 5 or 6 times out and about so far I think they're great and wonder why I didn't make the leap earlier. They sound great, are loud enough for my needs, and parts can be replaced. I chose to pay extra for the Plus as it has the longer coiled lead and I was sick of tangled straight leads. The headphone bag is nothing special but good to have a spare (straight) lead and set of ear pads. Hopefully I won't have to buy a new set for years to come now.

I wear these constantly, to listen to music and DVDs and to block out unwanted noise. I chose them first and foremost for their sound reproduction: the frequency range, approximately 12 Hz to 38MHz, if I remember correctly, is almost unparalleled. (For some strange and very mistaken--okay, stupid--reason, B&H no longer has complete specifications for these headphones.) You'll just have to take my word for it, the sound is terrific, and the more demanding the music (e.g., heavy-duty, industrial-strength classical or opera, the music of Jim Steinman, Sylvester Levay, Ennio Morricone, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, many Russian and Eastern European composers, the more Sennheiser's HD 25 headphones demonstrate their superiority. As far as the minor considerations go, yes, these are very lightweight but seem to be well-made and sturdy; they are comfortable; they stay on one's head well, the ear cushions are comfortable and block outside noise well. In short, I have no complaints about the HD 25 headphones. The sound reproduction is, or should be, the primary consideration when purchasing headphones. These will not disappoint.

It's all in the ears
11 January 2022

They feel light and because of that it gives an apparent air of cheapness to it but they are quality headphones! I've been looking for a pair for awhile to better carry through audio that represents what I hear (especially for live mixing during streams) more accurately. This headphone may be plastic but it delivers and is quickly becoming my favorite headphone.Only downside is they can cover your ears hard enough to cause discomfort if you wear glasses. I found the valor padding they provide to work better (comfort wise) for those with glasses. Only a minor thing really as most of us with glasses often struggle with on/over ear headphones and comfort.

Perfect for DJing
9 May 2023

I use them for DJing, like 90% of people out there I believe. They are the usual workhorse, can't really go wrong with these. They are NOT meant for music enjoyment at home, since they are not very comfortable to wear for longer period of times. They are meant for DJing, Live and Studio monitoring applications, this sort of professional environment.

Solid design
31 March 2023

I've been using a set of 'cheaper' Sennheisers for years until they finally gave in to the abuse I subjected them too. Decided to try some new Pioneers those were uncomfortable and broke within a couple of months (I'd taken really good care of them too). Decided that I'd follow the herd and plump for these expensive ones. Sound is really nice and isolation is good. You can easily hear what you are doing in loud venues. Build quality / design is really good too. The way the cable is clamped to the headphones and is replaceable is brilliantly functional. Might not meet the apple school of design but it means that the life of these can easily be extended. I expect these will last much longer than my previous Senny's - over 10 years.

Hands down one of the best headphones . And they are still with the design from 20 years ago... time lasting. Sound quality amazing, very comfortable, modular, made to last and more. Only one thing- Cable is on the right side and the swivel cup is on the left. They are simetrical so if you dont mind channels swapped it dowsnt matter. But you can still buy another cable and replace the jack with another one and swap the cables. I have tried many headph9nes and avoiding these coz they were yoo commercial among djs, but once I had a pair I realized what they are talking about.
