Sensibo Air + Room Sensor - Smart Air Conditioner Wifi Controller

I read a fair few reviews, and purchased for use with our 2020 Fujitsu Split System.The setup process was painful, it took over an hour and I had to change a few settings on my home wifi, mainly through trial and error as the help & support information os missing the important details on wifi security protocols.Firmware updates failed multiple times, and it seems the unit seems to only work half the time.Changing the temperature and/or fan speed seems to only work half the time, and other settings are hit or miss.

Apart from having some issues with the initial setup (had to restart and update the device) this has been a great addition. Purchased it due to the HomeKit support. Works really well and is great for those hot days where you want to come home to a cold house without having to run the heat pump all day. would highly recommend

Really recommend the Sensibo Air Smart wifi aircon controller. It has allowed us to really control the temperature of our house, be provided with analytics and think about energy use. Would highly recommend.

AirCon control heaven

I have 3 of the original Sensibo Sky devices and the app works well, setup was generally smooth and it was reliable - adjusting the entire home AC from a phone or iPad just became normal….remotes became obsolete.If you want worthwhile improvements in every area the Sensibo Air is the better choice.The “Air” is a much more polished device with better IR directional emitters, set up was smooth, app function for devices in multiple homes is as simple as it gets, one power button press of the original AC remote and it knew all it needed to control everything. The separate motion sensor/thermometer is excellent for rooms, such as a small office, that you come and go from infrequently during the day and don’t need to run heating/cooling constantly.The number 1 feature benefit of the “Air” over the “Sky”…..is Apple HomeKit integration.Just turn on HomeKit access in the Sensibo app and the tile shows up in HomeKit and you have control over on/off, heating/cooling, fan speed, schedules x local and remote access.This is the greatly polished version of the Sensibo Sky and if you use it well, it likely has a return on investment if you ever forget to turn your AC off while away, use the motion control in lesser used rooms, or use the external thermometer to override the AC if your room doesn’t heat or cool in a uniform way.Very happy, might even upgrade from Sensibo Sky to Sensibo Air for the other 3 units.

Brilliant, no complaints

Bought 2 of these a few weeks ago to control our Panasonic heat pumps. Simple installation and set up via app. Brilliantly controls heat pump with many ways to program temperature and on/off. Sync'd to homekit without issues. I do wish that the controller had a battery option like the temperature sensor but might be a part of an update later on.

Difficult to configure

Despite spending hours attempting to install, uninstall and re-install the aircon sensor and room sensor, the sensibo app kept failing to operate dependably. The issue seems to be with connecting the Air sensor to the home wifi using a new separate wifi connection. I have an iPhone running iOS 16.2, a 2 yr old Acer laptop running Windows 11, and TP-Link AX5400 Wi-Fi 6 Modem Router. Sensibo need to smarten up its installation software. So disappointing! JB Hi-Fi very graciously allowed me to return it. Cheers!

Good unit but company will spam your email

I bought this unit a few months ago and it works better than the A/C's in-built thermostat. It's useful to be able to see past temperature data too (plus pre-emptively put AC in cooling mode if weather is supposed to be hot).#1 complaint: The. Company. Will. Spam. You. I received 4 Black Friday emails in 24 hours, despite having unsubscribed previously.

Great smart home device

I have a Mitsubishi and works well. I love the geofencing in summer time as I walk into a cool room. Presence React is a bit of messing around to get perfect but Climate React is perfect in saving power and keeping room temperatures comfortable. I am considering upgrading to the Sensibo air quality for the bedroom and adding a purifier when they are released in Australia.

Rubbish quality and support for a huge price

I bought 2 of these based on the good reviews. After 6 hours of trying to get them working, I discovered that there is a bug in the product firmware. If your wifi password is longer than about 20 characters then the unit suffers a buffer overrun and won’t work. I reported this bug to Sensibo support. After 10 days they just reset my whole config (stopping my house working), and completely ignored my bug report. Potentially, these units could allow a hacker into your home network! (I am a computer and network engineer, BTW).

The little device you didn't know you NEED

Wow! Where do I start? What seems like a very simple concept, use your phone to turn your a/c on and off, turns out to be an amazing piece of kit! My air conditioner no longer runs when no one is home, but turns on before any one does, but only if it is extra hot or cold! Yes, there is a little bit of set up to get it this fancy, but boy is it worth it. All three air cons in my house now have this, it is truly amazing. Thank you to Jon & team.
