Shadow of the Tomb Raider is really awesome! :) I love the early missions because Lara Croft already has her weapons and tools. I admire the graphics of the environment, especially when she swims under the waters. Character progression, upgrades, rewards, customizations are all good! Missions are very challenging. Story is breathtaking and full of action! Characters and voice acting are full of life! I really love this game!

It's just another rebooted Tomb Raider game with everything you would expect from one of these. Ultimately it's ok, if you had fun with RotTR and TR2013 go ahead and buy it. Don't hope for any development of Lara as a character though, she's still stuck back in 2013 where lots of talking about feelings, lots of "I'm sorry" and even a cry are to be expected. /sigh

Game was good if a little on the shorter side than the 2nd game (which is my favourite by far). Certain aspects were more difficult than others (some of the tombs were a little confusing on what to do and when) but various walkthroughs online helped with that. Would recommend to anyone a fan of rpg's like horizon zero dawn or the other tomb raider games. The difficulty settings were a great addition, I prefer focusing on the story rather than challenging my shooting abilities and the difficulty settings split into categories allowed me to do that. I appreciated the difficulty settings being separate for the tombs/challenges too as I could make them harder without affecting the combat difficulty. Overall, great game - only crashed a couple times though I'm happy to ... MoreGame was good if a little on the shorter side than the 2nd game (which is my favourite by far). It is very shiny and pretty but doesn't really feel like a game. You just look at the screen of really amazing graphics and push the button that it tells you to. The story is not even that engaging. I only bought it because it was on special and I didn't have any RTX games to show off my new GPU. Yay it looks great but I have already lost interest and likely wont finish it. I rate it 3 stars as an impressive interactive tech demo, not as a fun or engaging game.
I liked the story, although the cutscenes are a little long for my taste. Also I have restarted the game at least 2-3 times due to bugs and glitches. Specifically there is a side quest that, if you were as unlucky as me, and haven't saved before starting it, you cannot complete it. The developers have not addressed the issue yet after so long. I liked the new Rambo style stealth kills. Puzzles were on the easy side.
After playing the previous two instalments of the modern Tomb Raider trilogy, I was highly anticipating this and can say it hasn't disappointed so far. This game ups the stakes and makes some interesting decisions with the story and gameplay. Without spoiling too much, it does feel like this is a lot closer to the badass classic Lara Croft and the setting certainly reflects that. If you were left wanting more after Rise of the Tomb Raider, this is definitely one to play through.
Having played and greatly enjoying the first two games, I really disliked this one and barely got through to the end. While the graphics are nice, that is pretty much the only thing this installment has going for it. The downsides include:- a mediocre at best story- very little combat compared to the previous ones- weapon upgrades are meaningless and unnecessary - as well as the skills upgrades - because most of the time you are exploring and solving relatively easy puzzles- the town/merchant system which falls flat because you don't need any upgrades, the game is easy as is- an unnecessary stealth system because you can just go guns blazing and avoid the trouble of trying to be sneaky- bugs (some puzzles are bugged which you will never find out about unless ... MoreHaving played and greatly enjoying the first two games, I really disliked this one and barely got through to the end. Pros- your get all the DLC tombs plus other extras, the best graphics of the three games and the gameplay is good but a long way to go yet. (not completed the game yet) Cons- I wasn't a fan of when Lara went back to when she was a child and had to complete a few puzzles in her father mansion, I felt it was unnecessary and it dragged the game from being fast-paced and slowed it down. Her father killing himself was different to what happened to him in the second game (in the second game she didn't witness it in this game she was standing there in the room when he shot himself). It's an OK game not finished it but was a bargain at what i paid for it, well worth the money.
