The second one I payed for and the third one I refused to pay for and after about a day of going back and forth with them and after I threated to report them to the BBB they caved and gave me the third. First two heads the front roller gave out the third now the second roller is going out. WIth all of these interactions of course they tried to say i was miss using it. I was not. We have 4 dogs and 3 cats and all the reviews and ads claimed that this would be appropriate for this. We do the proper upkeep to keep it running well. That obviously did not help. This vacuum has some nice features. It is light, maneuverable, and the bagless dust can is easy to use. Unfortunately, these positive features are drastically overshadowed by the many enormous design flaws. The wand design is terrible and only works at the one angle the handle is fixed at. The tools likewise are garbage and if you're trying to get to any other angle than the exact angle of the wand handle, they don't come in contact with the floor. The hose is way way too tight. There's no way my elderly grandma could use this vacuum. It takes all my arm strength to move the hose longer than a foot or two. And if you do that, the stupid thing falls over. Not in a good way - it sucks itself into things and is difficult to get off. My old Shark had a corner cleaner on the head that was great. That's gone - why get rid of great features and make a worse product? Overall I despise this vacuum and wish I'd never gotten rid of my old loud heavy Kenmore because it worked so much better.

The eye catcher was the whole hair management roller the company pushed however I find the hair does wrap around roller and the comb in front of the padded roller catches everything and builds up. I have long thick hair. And not sure why any company would put out a vacuum hose as worthless as the one this vacuum comes with. It does not work as canister vacuum at all. The company should redesign a hose that actually stretches more than a couple inches and send to those of us who purchased this vacuum. I feel frauded on that alone. I like that I can take and wash under running water the dust cup and filters. Just make sure they are completely dry. The vacuum is kind of heavy to carry up and stairs to multiple levels. Mostly disappointed and mostly due to the worthless hose. For the price I was expecting so much more.
I've had this vacuum for 4 years. I usually use it weekly.In that time I have continued to be impressed by the performance of the vacuum. The anti-wrap feature works well. The soft brush seems a little gimmicky but it does help pick up some objects. This vacuum picks up cat hair from my cats without any issue.With that being said,I have deducted a star for lack of repairability. I had to find a part on eBay, but I should have been able to buy it from Shark directly. It's just a piece of plastic for crying out loud! Shark would rather make a dollar and create garbage instead of doing the right thing.

The AZ1000 has dual brush rollers that really do well on both carpet and hardwood floors. This model has three settings for various types of flooring, and the power switch is on the handle as well. With the powered lift away, it is easy to maneuver on stairs. ( I will be ordering an additional motorized hand tool for additional cleaning.) This unit also has LED headlights on both the beater bar and the removable hand nozzle making it easy to see darker spaces and corners. The vacuum maneuvers well around cupboards/baseboards and any other edges around the house. The swivel steering makes it easy to get in hard to reach areas and emptying the dust cup is a breeze. With the HEPA filter and complete seal technology, no dust is escaping while you are vacuuming. My home actually smells cleaner. While the Duo Clean is a cool feature, it is not completely infallible when vacuuming long hair and will still require some hand removal on the fins. Despite this, it still removes a lot of hair without getting stuck in the rollers. The cord is plenty long at 30 feet and the 1350W motor seems to do well. Having had the vacuum for a week, I am pleased with the results thus far. I purchased from Walmart mainly for price and return policy.

The replacement piece is only $20 on the shark website, so not the end of the world, but still disappointing that they have the audacity to charge for a piece which is basically essential for the vacuums use. The vacuum is essentially worthless to me now because the replacement part is sold out everywhere, including third-party suppliers.My initial gripe was with the hose. After unboxing the product, assembling, and initial use, I noticed the hose was “tight” and not as flexible or stretchy as I had hoped. I figured after some use, it would relax and be easier. 18 months later, this hose is still insanely difficult to use. If you want to use the hand-held capability for furniture, good luck. It’s legit like wrestling a python because it’s so tough. If you just release the handle and try to use hand held with the vacuum upright: impossible. The hose will pull the vacuum down and the only way to use handheld is if you also release the “lift away,” meaning you need two hands to do what you would think would be a single handed task. Initially, the floor vacuuming capabilities were so good, I looked past this issue. My initial thoughts 18 months ago was the hose issue was worth minus one star, but the vacuum was still great overall and worth keeping.With all that said, I have no clue what to do. Either I wait it out for a new extension wand for $20-30, come back in stock. But who knows how long that will be. Or I go out and get a new vacuum.
