I have 3 of these in my home, one for each floor. Love these little gadgets, they make my life so easy. I have them on a timer, and gave them each their own names. They are set to go off at 10pm ever evening so I wake up to a nice clean floor. They memorize your house lay out and you can access to make sure they are getting all the rooms you would like done. They work on both carpet, and flat surface flooring. I have quite a large house so I set them to return to charge and continue where they left off, and they are smart enough to remember where they left off and will boogie over to finish tidying that space. I had a Ecovacs Deebot N8+ prior to this, and this Shark one is sooo much better. It never gets stuck on the cables underneath my bed, and neither does it get a bunch of my hair tangled on it's bristles. I have extremely long hair and I always end up having to clean the rolling brushes frequently. Not with this one I don't. Pros: - Mopping plate moves side to side so it cleans the floor better - Does not require a dust bag, reducing costs - Base holds A LOT of dust before it has to be emptied - Mopping plate holds enough water to clean my home twice (900sqft) - Cleans quietly Cons: - DOES NOT SELF-EMPTY when the mopping plate is on. Defeats the purpose if you mop daily, which I do - App needs to improve. All in all, I love this vacuum and definitely recommend it for anyone interested in a combo vacuum/mop.

This robot vacuum cleaner is one of the gadgets that I can't live without. It's very convenient because it empties itself in the XL attached bagless bin, so I don't have to touch any debris it collected. Also, I love to have the possibility to control it from the app and to receive notifications in case it gets stuck somewhere. Besides that, it goes to the base when the battery is low and recharge itself. How easier can it get? The cute puppy in the picture sheds a whole lot and it was challenging to keep the floor hairless, but now with Shark it's a breeze.

Horrible for Pet Hair

I had a Shark AV1010AE for a while and absolutely loved it. It unfortunately met an untimely demise with some dog poo so I bought this one thinking it was the same but just with an improved bar but it is NOT the same. I HATE this one (I wish I had a stronger word than hate)!1. The thick metal bar under the brush builds up pet hair so badly that every time it vacuums, I have to take it apart and unclog it.2. This one only has 1 side brush as opposed to 2 and it causes it to miss / just blow around per hair.I’m so disappointed ☹️ I wish I could just return it so I can order the one I had.

I believe the new models will be even better!

This was a good prices on clearance. It was only on clearance due to the new models being released. If the new models are better than this one then that is fantastic. I have animals with long hair and all my other different brans would not work. Hair would either clog up of course it would get full with in minutes and I would have to keep track and empty it. If I did not then the old one would just push everything around. This new one shows me so clearly how well it works. I could lay on my floor afterwards with a bit of hair on me. It showed me how often I would have had to change my other vacuum. I would say it probably unloads the hair every 10 minutes so maybe 3 times it’s on. Love it and wish I had the money sooner to get it.

Not recommended for homes with multiple pets.

Pros: setting up was easy, app is easy to use.Cons: I have multiple large dogs. The roller sucks up the hair fine but it will not transfer to the emptying canister. I have to manually empty the shark EVERY time. Because this happens at the docking station, the dirt that is collected often fall back on the floor and the shark doesn’t clean the docking station. It doesn’t pick up larger grained dirt, even on max setting. Normal sized dog food jams the roller.I have to get my cordless vacuum and clean the areas it missed. I have basically stopped using it because it is such a hassle.

I have had this for about 2 months . Ok I have heard it’s loud and takes a long time to vacuum. First of all I have a standard size house with multiple rooms . If you ran a normal vacuum it would be 3 times pusher then the shark .. 2. There is no way you’d vacuum under the beds and the coach and the table around every chair every time .. so add it up and 42square meters takes approximately 1 hr . .. that is under your beds , table and coaches ..in every bedroom and it doesn’t get bored … you must clean the brushes every day for the first week then every 5 days after that plus bin on vacuum since it’s going to find hair ties , paper pieces etc that you didn’t find which will block behind the brush where the dirt enters the machine . If you have 2 dogs like myself the. You will need to empty the bin every couple of days ( way cheaper then the other brands because that would be a vacuum bag replacement ). You will see a little hair deep in the carpet that it does not get .. however I vacuum once every saterday with a big vac and you’d be surprised ( two dogs I used to get a full vacuum every room x5 rooms and now only get 1/4 of a cup over the whole thing) I let the robot run from Monday to Friday at 9 am daily. You must remember to clean the foam filter 1 per week on the main unit ( opposit side as the dust cup on the base) let it dry for 24 hours before returning it or it’s gonna smell like a stinky sock . There is another filter below the base cup which hardly ever needs attention . Look at the end of the day the mapping on this thing is awsome , coverage is 100 percent to the point it has ocd and it does a way better job then a human .. oh sure you could match it for a week but then you’d be back to not moving the coach or the table .. then it’s got you beat . It’s not perfect since you will need to clean those brushes of long hair .. you for get and they get bound up and destroyed .. but then again if you were so good at vacuuming there wouldn’t have been any on the floor huh?? You do the 5 min of maintenance and it will kic your floors butt. Ps there is a setting in side to make it run longer and it works way better if you got a 2 .5 g wireless modem to allow it to talk to the internet.. the new modems are not comparable so I just went and bought a cheapy and tied it into my internet. All good great map and the vacuum can find its way back to the exact spot it left off vacuuming to with in 1/8 th of an inch .. fun to watch .. ps do not move the base station .. pick a spot and leave it .. if you have to relocate it then you will have to reset the map to factory so it learns again.

Has done two complete cycles so Im thinking next time will be regular sweeping. Returns to base to discharge with no problem. Had little glitch first attempt at installing app but second attempt was no issues. Have only used on regular suction setting and I would definitely not say this thing is loud in any sense.

iLife vacuum is 5 yr old, and my shark lasted 2 mo

This vacuum worked great when I first got it. Literally 4 months later, I had nothing but issues with this thing. Everyday there would be a new notification, error 2 obstruction under it, or another error where there’s and issue with side wheel, I have even ordered parts to replace like filters and even new roll brush, still having issue. After a deep cleaning internally, of the side wheels and the front wheel. My vacuum will only run on clean for a sec before having a error and it won’t run. I have literally even reset it to factory setting. I can’t believe I spend so much on a vacuum that barely runs anymore. Like I said, it worked great for 2 months, no issues. This shark has also left so many black marks on my baseboards of my new house. Which are white originally, now they are all skid mark all over the house. I’m beyond disappointed. Even more disappointed that it doesn’t even run anymore, for only a sec at a time.

not impressed

I made the mistake of buying this early because it was on sale. I wasn't able to use it until today. I had some construction going on in my house, and I didn't want to use it. While there was a chance that it could scoop up a nail. Now that my house it done I Decided to plug it in last night. This thing is extremely loud. It picks up very little. It goes right over the cat litter. And it just blows the hair out of its way they when it's finished, it takes forever to find its dock again and Then the process of emptying itself into the base is a Loud pump. Whatever you do, don't run this at night.. i dont think im going to be able to return it because i waited to use it. very disappointed
