I bought this in a matching set with bedcover, quilt cover, pillowcases and shams. I specifically looked up on Sheridan website and on tags to ensure items were washed correctly. Quilt cover came out fine, bedcover came out looking like it is 5 years old. Covered in pilling (definitely not the usual bumps and rawness you expect with linen) this looks old and shabby. I have a Miele washing machine that is $5k so washing machine quality is not an issue. Staff in store sent it for testing and apparently the fabric pilling is “normal”. I have been offered a credit from Sheridan but not a refund. The bedcover is disgusting. I’m now stuck with a quilt cover I have washed and therefore cannot return and credit for a terrible quality bedcover. I plan to return the unwashed ... I wanted a stunning matching set as I had purchased. Staff have been lovely to deal with but would never buy Sheridan products again if this is considered acceptable standard of product quality. Wish I had photographs to upload for you all but Sheridan currently has bedcover. So incredibly disappointing.

I’m loving my Abbotsford Linen Evergreen sheets. I purchased the quilt cover, pillow slips and fitted sheet. After being satisfied that the fitted sheet fitted my mattress I then bought the flat sheet.I was nervous buying such an expensive sheet set unseen online. But when I received my parcel I had a big smile on my face. I love the colour, which is a very dark green. I was concerned as it looks blue in picture. They feel wonderful against my skin.I’m so thrilled I’ve just ordered the Sham pillow.

The colour is much lighter compared to what is on the site, it is not a true navy ink/dark tone, much lighter, had to return. I have other Abbotson covers though (white, flax, carbon) and the quality is great. Just so disappointed as the linen was to be used for a photo shoot and this has been a waste of time waiting through covid for it to be delivered and eventually its nowhere near what I imagined. Look up Abbotson linen baby blanket for the actual true colour. Images attached.

I have several Sheridan linen quilt covers and all of them are too small for my quilts which are also Sheridan - both wool and cotton. I've had to unpick the seams on the Abbotson covers to gain an extra 5 cm approximate width and even then they are not wide enough to fit, and the Sheridan quilts always end up bulging inside the covers where they hang over the bed edges. I wash them in cold water using an eucalyptus detergent suitable for woollens as recommended, on a gentle cycle, and I line dry them then iron them while damp to dry. So either they shrunk on the very first wash or were always too small. This is not a happy outcome considering how expensive are sheridan products. Also, I do not appreciate being told I must have laundered them incorrectly when I ... I find myself lying in bed wondering just how hard can it be to get out my sewing machine and make my own.
I recently purchased a linen fitted and flat sheet after a few years of only having European or accent pillowcases in linen (also Sheridan). I am extremely pleased with the product. I actually don't need to iron them at all. They seem to wrinkle less than some other good quality cotton sheets I have. They feel BEAUTIFUL to sleep on, though admittedly I dislike sateen-ish sheets and prefer a soft yet textural hand to my fabric. Living in the subtropics, I do genuinely feel the warmer in winter/cooler in summer tag to be true. Also had the top sheet monogrammed. Looks lovely and very happy with that also. Though I would love to see Sheridan do some in-store colour samples as I'm loath to customise anything besides white-on-white based on the colour from my computer ... I washed before use but felt I was sleeping on hessian. But, after further washes they just delightful and give the bed a lovely relaxed feel. They do need ironing and are not the right sheets if you want a more formal look. I would also recommend a cool dryer for at least the first few washes as they initially shed an enormous amount of linen lint. I love them and bought a second set
Have loved Sheridan products for years. I purchased the Abbottsford quilt cover and pillow cases late last year. After months of both pleasure (when its fresh) and frustration (after a day or two of use) I felt compelled to write an honest review.Yes - a freshly-dressed linen covered bed is lovely to look at and the Sheridan displays are divine. However, unless you are a very calm sleeper, be prepared for your gorgeous quilt cover to resemble a tea towel within a few days of use. If you are fussy about the look of your bed, or prefer a tailored look, this fabric may not be for you. When Sheridan describes this as a 'relaxed look' be aware that it turns into a relaxed to the point of scruffy look.
Beautiful fabric. For the price that Sheridan charges for goods made in China, the bed skirt (valance) should at least encircle the bed. The one I purchased stops short of covering the bed base, not height but in length around the bed. A tad overpriced and below standard. Will I purchase Sheridan again. Sadly the answer is no I will not.
This bed valance is a little thin for the price compared to other products available and does not seem worth the price to me. It would be good to include more images of the product also, only the bottom side has crease detailing rather than all four corners. Otherwise the product is good.
I have had this doona cover for a couple of years now. The linen part of the doona cover has worn and washed really well. My complaint is with the lining on the underside. Whilst the linen is great quality, the underlining has virtually "dissolved". I have only used the cover with a top sheet. The underlining now has holes and is fraying away. Can't see how it can be fixed. So disappointed when you consider the high cost. It is ready to throw away. Bought Sheridan thinking that I was buying a quality product, and have never had problems with other Sheridan products in the past. Would love to know why this has happened.
