Don’t waste your money! This looks like a scam and extremely bad quality entirely opposite of what their fantasy video advertisements show! As a casual photographer, I was very impressed with one of their video advertisements, so I ordered one of these Shiftcam ProGirp charging plus a wide lense for my iPhone 13. These items made us extremely disappointed . First of all it can’t hold an iPhone 13 max properly, second, the wireless charger is just a useless metal that doesn’t charge. My iPhone takes better pictures without its lens. Just a waste of money! We have contacted their customer service, unfortunately, they don’t respond and are terrible. So basically we are unable to return these items without a prepaid label with a full refund as these items haven’t met our expectations. Suggestion to buyers, this is just a trap be-careful don’t waste your money!

Holds my s22 Ultra with Otterbox Commuter case perfectly safe. I read all the simple directions first. Following them resulted in no trouble setting up and pairing.While walking around, the rig is extremely handy with whole setup (1) simply hanging from my hand with grip strap on the back of my hand, or (2) slid into a normal pants pocket with the grip sticking out, or (3) in a small 6inx9in pouch slung over my shoulder. I have to slide the phone just a little bit further out so the bottom lens on the s22 Ultra is not blocked by the rig, but it is still held safely in the clamp. Yes, it is right-handed just like almost all hand-held cameras, so using it is almost instinctive even for this left-hander.It's easier to hold the camera level and steady with this grip for both still (especially telephoto) and video. Video pans are much smoother than before and way more accessible than hauling a big gimbal around. Besides that, I couldn't find a reasonably sized gimbal that would safely hold the s22 Ultra w/ case and still be able to operate that heavy phone/case combination.Selfies are made much easier without the usual contortions needed to hold the phone safely at arm's length and still touch the shoot button on the screen.I haven't yet tested out the long term usage of the battery in the grip. However, setting up wireless charging is way easier than the instructions (and some reviewers) seem to think. I set it up the first time with no problems. Then I simply noted that the right edge of the on-off button on the phone goes right to the edge of the clamp's left edge in order to engage wireless charging. All is good and simple. Once it is synced, I can still move the phone back left up to an inch and it still keeps charging the phone.Only three suggestions to make it perfect all around:(1) Put the tripod mount nearer the center of the phone swivel point. The rig with camera is too left-heavy to stay upright on a small or weak tripod even though it's okay on a heavier tripod.(2) Add some sort of zoom control at the grip (similar to zoom controls on gimbals). Zooming with screen controls on a phone remains awkward to do and difficult to do smoothly.(3) If the grip had an adjustment to set up a 90-degree stand (in addition to the current 75-degree viewing angle) then an accessory tripod wouldn't be needed when setting the phone down for a stand-alone shot or video.There you have it. Sorry for the ramble.

The marketing says turns any smart phone into a professional camera! which is a bit over the top - the grip does not offer any functionality beyond what your cell phone camera already has - so consider that just a bit of marketing fluff.What the grip does do is allow you to hold your phone in a manner that is more natural for taking photographs. It also has a built-in battery that will charge your phone wirelessly or via a built-in wire. (if you are taking photo all day, that could double or triple your camera time) It also has a hot shoe that you can connect a flash or other devices to (I have not tried that).Installation is simple, operation is the push of a button. The shiftCam does not have any dials or auxiliary buttons to adjust any of the functions that you might have on your cell phone camera - snap the picture is the only control.After walking around with it for an afternoon I give it good marks. I was able to take many nice photos that I might have otherwise missed. Part of that is because I had the cameras in my hand and my finger on the button. Part of that is because it makes the camera easier to hold; It is difficult to hold, aim, and snap a photo on a cell phone camera with one hand. This device makes that easy.The downside: If your cell phone is wearing this device then it no longer fits in your pocket. That takes away some of the convenience of having a small portable device. And one could certainly argue if I am going to carry my camera around, why not just carry my regular camera? A valid argument.Bottom line: is it worth the price of admission? If you find yourself needing to take photos at an event or a destination and will have your phone in your hand the whole time then it is absolutely worth it. If you find yourself needing/wanting to substitute a cell phone camera for a regular camera, then it is a nice accessory. Will it turn your cell phone into a professional camera? Only if your cell phone already has professional camera abilities.Given the price point of the product, I recommend it. It does improve the way that you use and hold a cell phone camera. That translates into better photos. Charging the camera is also nice.
