I already own the Metanium HG and the new 2022 Bantam in my opinion is equally as good. Both are equally as smooth and cast the same in my opinion.

This Bantam reel fits in hand very well paired it with a Expride 6'10"rod. No extra adjusting to cast a mile. Quyat easy firm retrieve. Deep divers you hardly know your bringing it in. No back lash from heavy lures to light. Have I caught a fish NO!. Maby after this virus. Most of all it looks very expensive. Buy one and tight lines.

This is my fifth reel, I bought my first one 4 years ago, I've caught a lot of fish with them, I love them. Very good product.

My favorite and "Greatest Of All Time" baitcasting reel. Happy to find it at Discount Tackle after I couldn't find it in stock anywhere else. All metal frame, very rigid, and very slightly undersized makes it very comfortable for medium sized hands. I use the 6.2:1 version (prefer torque and control, don't need blazing speed)
I bought this spool because I needed the centrifugal brakes off of it. The spool was in good shape and Ill probably load it up for a spare.
Strong gears smooth operation and very easy to set so you don't get a birds nest.
I have three of these now over the past three years of using them I like them more than my metaniums. If you fish alot and want a reel that will last many years to come get some.
The reel is Broken . I put line on it and the drag doesnt pick up the line . Spent over 1 hour trying to fix it but no success. Have owned several in the past and this reel was definitely sold to me in non working order.
Reel is super smooth. I think just as smooth as my Shimano Calcutta Conquest 101. was money well spent!
I have not used my new Bantam reel, but my first impression is that it is a solidly built reel. Gonna pair it up with a IMX-PRO CBR and use it as my main mid to deep crankbait reel.
