Replacing parts of my drive chain and had ordered cleaning products from halfords.Whilst in store enquired about a new chain.Very helpful and knowledgeable staff member and purchase price great so ordered.Watched a video on sizing, cut the chain to length and used the quicklink to install.Usual 105 balance of quality and weight.

Bike: 2020 Kona Kona Rove NRB DL, which came equipped with this chain. Easier I installation with the quick link, versus the pin system. The quick link also serves as an easy reference point when lubricating each link, to see when you're done. I got about 1700 miles on the original chain b4 it was worn to 50%. This chain has the usual Shimano sticky coating lube when new.

I live in the middle of nowhere, center of everywhere. So having to replace bike parts can be a hassle. I can always trust the people at Cambria bike for good prices, quality parts, prompt responses and speedy ship times. This is the same chain I've been using since I picked up my 2017 Giant Trance 2. No issues with chain snap, ever. Replaced due to stretching which is normal and to the ones newer to the sport, IT IS A MUST!! A stretched chain can trash your drivetrain way before its time.
Used this for a season of riding. It has lengthened by about 0.50% in about 1200km of riding. A bit faster than I thought it would wear. I think it will need to replaced soon. I only rode in dry conditions and lubed my chain every ride (sometimes every second ride).I bought some Ultegra and Dura ace chains from Bike inn and will see if those last any longer.
The chain is of good quality and is durable. However, the good link is not intuitive at all and is more difficult to install than what it should be. If installing it on the side of a road with cold wet hands, then its going to be a even bigger issue. The SRAM quick links are so much better and I've used them for over 10k miles and never had an issue.

Installed without Quick Link because I did not have the special tool but do have traditional chain tool in my camelback ..no worries. Chain works great. Bought a shimano 105 bike chain online from Decathlon 12months ago which has recently snapped whilst riding .product came with 2 year warranty which Decathlon are refusing to honour .they are requesting proof that the chain on the bike was the chain purchased from them(how is that possible?).they are also stating wear&tear and poor maintainance. The 2 year warranty is basically useless.
