Standard Shimano cassette good quality, replaced by same which had done close 2000 kms. Could’ve lasted longer if I’d changed the chain sooner. Click & collect is a great service.

When I looked at the prices of 11 and 12 speed drivetrains, I balked at the price of the cassettes. Ok, so they're like 250g for 300, compared to 400g for 40, and it looks like art, but that's money that could be allowing me to retire sooner, which is the ultimate luxury. I think I'll hold off, and deal with a little extra weight. I'm sure I could save more weight in my shoes, backpack, or my body for far less.No complaints with the performance. I can sprint from stops and shift up to harder gears without sudden chain drops/skips, and it shifts up under moderate chain tension (60+ RPM) without drama on hills. Lockring is steel, but can just nab an alloy lockring from an older XT cassette if weight is important.

I got this to use in converting an older frame to a 10-speed chain setup, and this cassette exceeded my expectations. Its gearing, weight, and smooth-shifting make it feel like it should cost more than the $36 price. I used it in combination with Deore shifters and rear derailleur and a HG54 chain. No complaints.

This may not be at light as the XT version but it is a quality component. I replaced a heavy worn out SRAM Cassette with this cassette and a new Shimano chain. Much better shifting!
It was just time to do it. I finally broke a chain (@75% stretch) and tried to get by without changing out the cogs. You might get by with it, but I didn't. The new chain didn't like the wear of the gears and I started getting popping and slipping, so on went the new cassette and rings. All better. Pedals and shifts like new again! Don't cheap out and sacrifice your new chain; replace the stuff when it wears out.
I weighed this and the XT version and there was 20 grams between them. Thats nothing unless you're snorting coke. Its a nice cassette and isn't brutally heavy. Not recommended for XC racers but for trail riders and recreational use its pretty good. The XT is only $10 more but this LX version is fine. Go use the $10 to buy lunch.
Not quite as good as the XT Cassette but still good quality at this price point. Have used these many times and get good life out of it.

I ride hard and aggressive. The stock rear drive train components that came with my bike got destroyed after a few hard runs and was looking for something more reliable and durable. In my opinion, you can never go wrong with Shimano. the cut away design on the chain rings do feel much smoother when shifting compared to the stock KMC cassette I had. I was skeptical with the lighter alloy for the largest 3 cogs, as thrashing can prematurely wear out a tooth or even snap it. I haven't ran into either issue and I've had the cassette for almost a year now.I have this cassette grouped with the Shimano XT HG-95 chain and the Shimano m675 shadow+ clutch derailleur. No issues.
This Shimano SLX product is advertised (if you understand their labeling codes) as medium quality and performs as advertised. It wears somewhat fast if you are riding in damp sandy soil or muddy dirt conditions. It's a good value if you mostly ride in dry conditions and you keep it clean and properly lubricated.
I purchased this with a SLX group set for a new bike build I was doing. Paired it with a SLX 10 speed rear derailleur, XT chain and SLX 10 speed shifter. Shifts perfect and have not had any shifting problems on the trail yet. Money well spent.
