Shimano Dura-Ace BB92-41B Press Fit Bottom Bracket
Among the many bottom bracket standards in the bike industry is BB86. Where a typical road bike has a 68 or 70mm bottom bracket shell width, a BB86 equipped bike has a shell that measures 86. 5mm wide. This gives frame designers a little more room to get creative with frame design and improve stiffness at the ever-so-critical bottom bracket junction. This Shimano Dura-Ace SM-BB92-41B Press Fit BB is made to press right into your bike. It will mate your Shimano Hollowtech crankset to any frame equipped with a BB86 bottom bracket shell. It includes two steel cartridge bearings pressed into composite cups. The cups increase the outside diameter of the assembly to 41mm to match the inner diameter of the frame's bottom bracket shell. There is a 1. 75mm thick outer lip that provides a positive stop for the cups when you press them into place. Shimano includes their standard plastic o-ringed inner sleeve to protect against water damage should it find a way inside your frame. It also comes with black plastic dust shields that snap into the inner race of each bearing to keep out dust and debris.

Ok, perhaps a little bit of an exaggeration but this is a great bottom bracket. Just make sure you have the correct tools to install these press in bearings, especially if you have a carbon frame. The bottom bracket is silky smooth and I love it.

Hey TeamCyclop, lived the way you people are working and helping the community. After knowing that my OEM fitted BB Bearing reached to it’s life as a part of wear-n-tear, was bit worried if same will be available here or need to arrange it from other country but was very happy after seeing same is available in Cyclop Stock. Thanks once again

To be clear...I am not a fan of BB 92 to begin with so my review may reflect that...Firstly, apparently I purchased the wrong size bottom bracket. I guess there are multiple BB92 widths? The listing said this was a XTR/Dura Ace Bottom Bracket...but when it showed up it only said Dura Ace...and wouldn't you know the center spacer wasn't wide enough. I bought this to use with a 68/72 Shimano Saint Crankset...guess there is a BB92 specific for that? Who knows...this BB standard is terrible.I installed this BB sans plastic spacer since it was too narrow anyway. I was in a pinch and had a race the following weekend so I just figured it would get me through and I would just replace after the race (since it was the wrong one anyway). Who knows...this BB standard is terrible.I installed this BB sans plastic spacer since it was too narrow anyway. I was in a pinch and had a race the following weekend so I just figured it would get me through and I would just replace after the race (since it was the wrong one anyway). This BB pressed into the frame incredibly easily. I used a set of bench clamps (the ones that have the caulking gun handle to clamp stuff to a work bench). That in and of it self was a concern to me. I figured there was NO WAY the BB wouldn't creak. I practically could have used my palm to install these cups.Cranks installed fine. Chainline was good. Then I rode my bike up the street. BB creaked right out of the gate. UGH! Again...can't fault the BB...I do fault the stupid BB92 standard. The creaking stopped about 5 miles into my race...but then came back again after I washed my bike. Then it stopped again. Annoying.I ordered a Wheels MFG BB to replace this one. Hopefully it's the correct size and doesn't creek. Look for my review on the Wheels MFG BB after I get it installed.PROS: Lightweight, Low ResistanceCONS: Creaked out of the gate but then stopped, Presses WAY to easily, Plastic cups?
Replaced a 15 year old BB on my road bike with god only knows how many miles on it ... still ran smooth but trying to chase down an annoying creak. Turns out the headset was dry, and the rear skewer needed a little grease. Kept the old one as a spare. Awesome bearings.
It does what it says on the tin. Very easy to fit BB. Direct replacement for my old one after 20000 miles. No creaks what so ever.
Bought this to replace my original bottom bracket after loud creaking and a suggestion from my LBS. Had it professionally installed four weeks ago and after a few weeks of quiet it's creaking every bit as bad as it was before. A couple hundred down the drain.
Bought this to replace my bottom bracket which was making some awful grinding noises. It does the job perfectly. With the right tools is easy enough to fit and my bike is now happy again.
This BB is a spare as only just fitted the previous one purchased. As long as you use the correct tools then there is nothing wrong with press fit bottom brackets.I use the Shimano TL-BB12 for installation and Park BBT90.3 for removal. No doubt this will be as good as the previous one I had which lasted for many years.Good price as usual from Sigma Sports.
Stopped the creak. My last one lasted about 8000 miles before needing to be replaced. Let's hope this is the same. Cheaper than ceramic and the usual Shimano quality. Maybe not quite as well made as the wheels manufacturing ones but you get what you pay for
