I have been a long time Shimano reel user and TackleDirect customer. This reel is a top performer, just like all of my other Shimano reels. And TackleDirect is a top performer when it comes to buying fishing gear. All of my purchases have been easy, on time and I have always gotten the quality I expect. Shimano and TackleDirect make great partners.

Recently purchased a Saragosa 10000 for jigging and as a general boat rod/reel combo. It’s lightweigt and compact but still has good line capacity on braid and can put the breaks on some decent sized fish making aggressive runs. Easily handled some large Bonita, Kings and Mahi on its first day out on the water. Would definitely recommend as an all purpose rod or for vertical jigging.

This is a powerful reel from Shimano. Solid, powerful. I own the 10,000 and the 20,000. Will get another 20K. For offshore I paired it with Shimano Tallus Bluewater, unbeatable.

Havent used it yet but from googling and reading reviews. It's one of the best bangs for your bucks. 44lbs stopping power. And 3ooyrds of 50lb braid. Hard to beat.
All the latest from shimano in this new version. Looks and feels great. Has most of the same specs line, drag, .... as "f" model. It does weigh more, but has a stronger, beefier, more balanced feel. Have not fished yet, can't weight.
Tough as guts, does it all from Surf fishing Mulloway, Big Kingfish, tuna ect in South Australia. I got 320m Pe6 Tasline so great spool capacity for a reel that's an allrounder.
You can feel the quality in this reel as soon as you turn the handle. The reel spins silently and smoothly on a set of robust bearings 33lb of drag is strong enough to subdue most fish that you are likely to catch in these waters
Matched this with a shimano waxwing 8' heavy, and have to say I absolutely love it. Smooth with incredible drag strength. frame is solid and with the entire reel sealed I don't have to worry about saltwater spray. I completely overpowered 40-50 lb black drum with this combo. Can't wait to try it on Tarpon in the Spring in Tampa Bay. I have a Diawa Saltist, and Penn Spinfisher V as well and have to say this is now my go to reel for big inshore species and pelagics offshore.
i got this reel a few weeks ago but haven't experience any catch yet. perfectly match with the okuma nomad or the lamiglas insane10 footer rod. mainly use it for strippers or some sturgeons and will be travelling for future catch hopefully. i was debating of getting the van staal 150. they weigh about the same the van stall is slightly smaller but luckily my buddy wanted it too and this was on sale for 269 if you buy 2 reels plus it came with a mustard 6in filet knive. it was a just better deal and its shimano sw.
I looked at a number of reels from very expensive to inexpensive reels. While fishing at Cape Cod Cannel I asked some of the other fishermen /woman present how they liked their equipment and most of them allowed me to make several casts. Based upon their recommendations and my hands on trial I determined that the Shimano Saragosa SW10000 was the reel I would like to get. I shopped around and located the best price from Otto's Tackle World in Australia. I placed the order and received it promptly. I recently got to use it and it was such a delight I sent away and got a second one (8000) for a lighter rod that I own. It has an extremely smooth crank that made reeling the line in a dream with and without a fish-on. I did a lot of research and highly recommend it. I ...
