Love my Stella's. Received my 8000 HGC. When I get a new Stella, I will sit and crank it while watching TV to let in seat its self, Like a break in period. This one felt different and had a kind of clunk when the spool shaft would change directions from from up and down. I gave it a couple weeks and still did not feel right. Checked it against my other Stella's and found the end play of the spool shaft was quit a bit more than my other ones. Contacted TD and as always they were great to deal with. They sent me a return label and set up the exchange. I feel this reel did not get the correct shims and was just to loose. I'm sure the new one will be the usual Stella quality. Thx TD

Excuse me, who has 1000 dollars laying around (I Do), might as well buy a yacht to go along with this thing, not to mention you probably are gonna run out of money for the rod, so I recommend taking the rod off of a kid caster, great for tuna and grouper and is a fun fight for how light the rod is. Overall great rod and exceptional price.

This is the pinnacle of spin reels, so well engineered and designed. 28kg of drag and as smooth as silk to use. Definitely worth the investment.
Received items in good condition on 24 Oct'17. Label printed on spool as SW14000. Printed on the bottom handle as SW14000XG-B. Ordered Stella 14000 SWB XG. Just concern why the inconsistency in the product ID. Are they the same? I hope the product is as per advertised. Could FTS clarify on this. Haven't tested yet. Thanks

Smooth as butter. Worth every penny. I bought this reel with the intent of top water jigging, bottom jigging and for any type of offshore fishing. You will not be disappointed.
Its best. Most of Japanese big game angler using this and reel maintenance professional said Stella SW is the best.8000HG is nothing heat sinj drag but if you fish other than tuna, no problem.People start fishing with reasonable pliced reels but in the end they will definitely have flagship model. Dont go waste way, straight way to Stella thats cheapest way.
Looked used when received. Good condition but minimal scratches price expensive for scratched reel
What can I say, the Stella is awesome. I bought the 8000 to move between a shore rod and boat road for pelagics, but I've been catching big bream from the boat and loving it. When I can afford it I'll be buying a 4000 or 5000 for the smaller boat rod.
