I have been wearing my previous multi sports for years, so long that I can no longer see the size on the label it has been worn and washed so many times. The bra was that good! Unfortunately all good things must come to an end and bounce was creeping in. So I bought a new one in mint green. Based on advice on the website I ordered both my usual 30GG and a 32GG. The 32 was huge, I didn’t find the back size small at all so kept the 30. Obviously with a sports bra, the support can only be truly tested upon wearing for a sporting activity, although I tested it by running up and down the stairs a few times. Unfortunately about 1.5K into my first run in this bra I became aware of more bounce than with the bra I had replaced. I don’t know what Shock Absorber have done but this bra in mint green (awful colour by the way) is not fit for purpose and has been relegated to a walking bra. Total waste of money I’m sad to say. Maybe it’s just this colour but the support is just not there. Bravissimo, please feed back to Shock Absorber so they can restore this style to its former glory.

I bought this bra as I already have two Shock Absorber bras, both of which fit well and are comfortable. Sadly, I followed the advice given by Bravissimo on the selling page for this bra, and went up a back size. This was a big mistake. When I first tried it on at home it looked ok and was comfortable so decided to keep it. However, after my first Zumba class I realised I had made a mistake. It doesn't support my boobs at all - they bounce all over the place, which is very painful at certain times of the month. I persevered with it, thinking it might fit better after I washed it, but sadly no. I went for a run in it and all I could hear was the sound of my boobs clapping together. It would have been funny if it wasn't so painful. I obviously can't return this bra, ... MoreI bought this bra as I already have two Shock Absorber bras, both of which fit well and are comfortable. I had just wished I'd bought it in my normal size as my other two Shock Absorber bras are great and are still a good fit and comfortable despite being 5 years old. I love all the items I have bought from Bravissimo except for this bra. I will continue to purchase from Bravissimo, but I do think they need to rethink the sizing advice with this particular bra.

One has to have quite flexible arms to reach behind to do up the second tier on the back-strap of this bra - but if you can, the result for me was a comfortable fit with plenty of support. It took 2 attempts to find the right size of Shock Absorber and I settled on the 36HH. Following surgery I now have one smaller (pert) boob and one that's all original and I dreaded finding a bra to run in due to the asymmetry and of course I needed to support both girls equally! They are both good for different reasons... It's going to be the Shock Absorber for higher impact/running and the Royce for gardening and yoga/pilates.Thanks to Bravissimo for all their help both on the telephone and via the web-chat on this sports bra journey :-)

I'm a fairly loyal Shock Absorber punter, as I feel their bras live up to a lot of punishment. This one is no exception, although I was a bit horrified the first time I tried it on that the sizes had all changed as it felt so TIGHT. However, despite a few contortions to get it done up over the first month or so, it settled down and so did my technique (old fashioned, do up round front, turn back and wriggle in!!) - and after a year, it's not something I think about. My punishment is running (5km to half marathons generally), and the bra is really good, zero movement, straps, chestband, everything stays in place. I also wear it for callisthenics, you stay the same shape in a handstand!! You feel like you are locked in, which for me I prefer. It's comfortable, but it is a sports bra, try wearing it at your desk you may find yourself getting sore shoulders. Working out the economics, I've had over 200 wears out of this bra now and it's still going strong and washes well. If it's like my others, it will still be going in 2-3 years, well worth the money.
What’s not to like. Shock absorber’s are always my go to sports bra. As always for high impact I have to double up and wear a compression bra over the top (never found a sports bra that doesn’t require this for high impact activities for me). This is comfortable when doing low impact and comfortable enough to wear all day! Also love the colour!!
Great sports bra, really secure and don't feel any movement. I mainly use it for running, so it's really put through its paces! I would give it five stars but if I do a run of 8/10K or longer, there's a seam in the centre at the front maybe 4cm long which starts to chafe. I think it's just that it's slightly rough rather than the bra fitting badly as I have no other problems and when I wear a plaster in that area it's fine. Defo recommend sizing up in the back, I'm usually a 30E but wear 32DD. Have used this style for years!
I went up a band size as advised on the website, but also had to go up a cup for a good fit. I'm 30F and the 32FF fit me well. However I had to return it because even on their shortest setting the straps were a bit too long. I don't know if it was just because of this, but I found it didn't offer enough support - too much bounce! Shame as it's very comfortable, hence I would still recommend it. Just not for me
This is the most comfortable Shock Absorber bra I have worn. The two back fastenings give you a feeling of complete security. Your whole chest is very comfortably enclosed - nothing moves and nothing bulges out. It is a compression bra but actually gives you a nice shape.I have a dodgy shoulder but can still easily do up the top fastening.Definitely follow the sizing instructions - I am usually a 34F and 36F in this bra fits perfectly.
It's has 2 adjustable straps at the back and already mentioned cups cut to fit around the breast instead of just flattening it and in turn making it more supportive. I would still like a bit more padding in nipple area(but not full on foam inserts)as it's not 100% seamless but then again more seamless than other bras of same thickness(or even the white Champion collab). I like that these are shorter as I find most regular sized too long for my torso(I'm 5'4). It's definitely supportive but if you want to immobilise your chest to the point then I found adding boob band do the trick even on lower support ones. I'm def sticking to shock absorber after I tried 2 of their sports bras of this kind
I ordered one size up in the back, as this was strongly recommended on the website and in reviews. In my case this meant that the band around my ribs was not tight enough and therefore the whole point was lost, of holding my boobs still while running.Additionally I had not really focussed while ordering on whether the sports bra was wired or not. I focussed on the fact that this bra is 'maximum impact' and marketed as suitable for running, horse riding or the gym- it sounded suitable for running if you are a GG sized woman. In reality when I tried it on the lack of underwriting meant that basically the boobs are squashed to the chest, and also squashed together, with no shape and no definition. The feeling of my boobs being squashed together like that made me feel sweaty and uncomfortable - and that was just standing still!I tried various tops on with the sports bra and this confirmed my bad feeling - I looked massive, barrel shaped and with the bra not feeling tight enough around the ribs I would not have attempted running in this bra. A sports bra may not be 'lingerie' and not the most sexy item ever.... but I still want to feel attractive in it.
