So happy, always been a Nike wearer previously but no more. These are so comfortable, keep my feet warm and dry and can wear all day without my feet hurting. They look amazing and I've had so many compliments whilst wearing them. One very happy customer, I will be back.

Good shoe, especially at the current price.

After a week of using them I can say that they have proven to be effective in the wet and cold. I've yet to truly go off road with them yet but they delt with the mud and rain well enough. One thing I would say is that I wouldn't recommend wearing thick socks as the shoes have a thick lining and you might feel like it's a bit tight on the foot. So unless your not planning to go into cold climates then I feel regular socks would probably work just fine.

Great Product, an alternative to outdoor technical footware

This shoe exceeded my expecation for an every day winter shoe.ProsThe MTE range is designed for it comfy lining, a cushioned foot to sole contact with a firm tred that is contored front and back a nice feature. Feet have stayed warm in -6 C conditions.sewn in tougne that doesnt run up above the ankle.Grip is excellentConsAlthough the textered pattern is part of the design the multiple layers could be simplified to make cleaning easier. The internal material is felt and with a few weeks of use the felt is starting to bobble at the heel area, this needs to have a durable material at the high contact points.Laces could do with an extra inch or two due for the above ankle eye lets

Misleading I
6 February 2023

Bought these in January, nice boots but disappointed that the pictures show extra black laces. This is misleading as the they only come with the white laces. I reached out to VANS customer service but nobody responds despite a promise of 48hr response. Sad face ☹️

NOT for snow/wet conditions
9 March 2023

Cool style, soft...Warm but for sure NOT water resistant. More like a sponge. For sure buy the waterproofing aftermarket if you want to run these in actual winter conditions. Stays wet for hours after using for 15m of mild snow shoveling. Runs a tad narrow in the toes as others have noted, but thats the same with all Vans for me. Other small issue: laces are a tad too short to wear loose so you can slip in-out easily.

Not a sure fire winner....
30 January 2024

Not as comfy as I had hoped, but getting better. A bit narrower around the toes. Very warm, so no complaints there. I changed the laces straight away, the stock ones just come undone all the time. Classic flat laces look better in my opinion. Probably would have not purchase if I had gone into a store, but purchased on line, you know the deal🤷🏻‍♂️

Perfect for winter walking
4 November 2023

Bought these for trip to New York in January and they were awesome. 0 blisters, warm and dry feet and super comfy...we walked 20k steps plus daily.I bought my usual size 7 and had to return for a 7.5 as the lining is super chunky.Theyve also got me up Pen y Fan mountain in the typical Welsh weather and are proving to be my shoe of choice for my walks this autumn...its rained a lot. No sign of wear and tear yet. Would buy again for sure.

Super comfy warm walking boots - passes the comic con test
16 December 2022

I bought these in the Black Friday sale and, wow, they are worth it. I work a lot of comic cons, and I usually wear a pair of vans, but they aren't always the most comfy after prolonged time on your feet. I tried these out at a con, and they were great. My feet were comfortable and warm and the colours blend in well with dark clothing. I also tried them out in the recent -5°C icy weather, and although my feet were a little numb after standing at a train station for over an hour (yay one day with no train strikes), I think this could easily be remedied with a nice pair of thick socks. I was able to walk on the icy floor without any incident, while being careful of course.I made the decision to get a full size bigger than I usually do, as I thought that leaving room ... MoreI bought these in the Black Friday sale and, wow, they are worth it. This is an annual go-to shoe for winter
19 December 2022

Bought this shoe for my 12 year old, this is his 3rd pair. Just started buying them for my youngest son also, as well as I am on my 2nd pair. durable, warm, dry, comfortable. Good grip in winter. The purple and teal colorway is really hot looking.

Warm, comfortable, stylish
21 October 2023

These are warm, comfortable and stylish!! However, they are not waterproof for long. They are ok if you are walking in rain but not long grass or even walking through shallow puddles!! Another annoying thing is the laces are so short I could barely get them done up.
