First of all the style of the pack and the quick, easy way to slip on the tow rope were perfect for our family. Our daughter likes to wear the pack while we bike and when she is feeling she feels the hills are too hard she slips on the tow rope and quickly up the hills we go! We loved the easy give the tow rope has for the downhills as well. Would highlighly suggest this for any family that is trying to get their children into mountain biking with them. You will love this extra help, and the joy it will bring your kiddos!

The two rope has been great for our family. Our son is 4.5 years old and loves riding trails. Sometimes just getting up the mountain can be a drag (ha!). After months of pushing my bike in my hand and pushing the boy along as he rides up, we can now just both cruise up the steep stuff. It's easy to hook up. We worked out a 1,2,3 Start and 1,2,3 stop plan to make sure everyone's on the same page. If you're using it with a younger kid, don't forget that it might take a little coordination like that. But, it's been awesome for us. Highly recommend.

We Got this to help my 6 y/o bike to the mines of Kennicott in Alaska. It would have been a long climb for my 6 year old and we want biking to be fun for her. This made it a lot of fun for her. She loved it and in fact she insisted on wearing the pack it came in even when we weren't riding :).I highly recommend this product to parents looking to give a younger rider a "little help" on rides that may be longer or steeper than they could tackle independently. It was a cinch to set up and didn't impose on me all that much, especially if she was still peddling and not just being towed :).

This product has opened up a world of adventures for me and my kids. I use it to go on big rides that I wouldn’t have dreamed of attempting before. We have just got back from a trip to the Highlands where I towed my eldest up 1000m in wild mountains! What is great is that you can make the ride longer and get a decent workout by evening out the effort. I had previously tried a homemade attempt at the same thing, but the Shotgun is way better as you can’t feel that you are towing and there is no sudden ‘pull’. I have already recommended this to my friends as a must have upgrade! It’s the best thing since dropper seat posts in my opinion!
My boys were so excited when they opend the box. The hip pack is so fun and a greatrugged, design. The rope was strong and the Pull was really smooth it was a very enjoyable tow. It was not jerky at all which was really nice. My boys loved the colors and the hip pack also fun and definitely got the kids excited to use it. Definitely recommend this product for biking families.
These tow ropes are amazing. My kids carry them, we go to a small hill and do a couple of laps. I tow them up, they rip down and love it. Strategy #1 for getting them stoked on mtb'ing. I have twins and we run a little train. It is the best! I get a bit of a ride in on the climb and its so fun on the way down. I would never have considered take-in them to this spot because the climb is a few minutes, but now it is the place we ride the most.
This is ideal for a longer ride you know has hills, or lapping the kids downhill bike park. Our son had a ball going downhill on his own and being towed back up! He handled the steering and following just fine. Many parents were carrying their kids bikes as they all walked back uphill. Hopefully we provided some exposure for Kids Ride Shotgun tow rope!We take the rope off for flats and definitely downhill, too risky.
I initially just wanted the tow strap, but after some thought I wondered where it would be stored (everything needs its place). So I caved. I bought the combo with the fanny pack. Not only does my son love the strap, he loves the bag, and he loves carrying it around with all sorts of things. It’s truly become an essential piece of “bike-gear” that my little one has to don when he decides it’s “bike time.” The strap itself is a great concept! It’s intended only for uphill use, but I use it to pull my slowpoke behind the stroller as he learns his balance bike. I’m stoked to eventually use it on the trails. I would highly recommend this combo to compliment the other awesome KidsRideShotGun items!
I am so happy with this product, the tow rope is perfect for getting my 3 year old up our neighborhood streets that are just too steep for his little legs to pedal by himself. I might be more stoked on the hip pack that he can wear himself and he loves it! It is also big enough that I can wear it when/if he wants me to carry it. It has a second pocket for his own snacks too, can't leave home with out snacks! The rope fits perfect in the main compartment. I strongly recommend this to anyone with a kiddo. I was blown away how easy it was for him to pedal behind me the first time we tried it, no issues what so ever. Thanks!
My daughter is 6 and not a good climber, yet. But, every parents goal is to have you child to fall in love with MTB like we do and the Shotgun Tow will make that happen. Gravity is also your friend and the Shotgun Tow will get your little to the top to enjoy the decent. It might be too young for your child to climb and dread riding with you which takes away the joy. The climbing with come, the endurance will come, but you have a small window for your child to love nature. But best of all, the fanny pack and tow rope match my back pack. Once you buy the tow, you be telling yourself that you should’ve bought it months ago…happy riding!
