I have a few vintage Harmony parlor guitars that have flat fretboards. This Shubb works great on these old guitars. I find it does the job of depressing the strings evenly without throwing the guitar out of tune and I prefer it to the Planet Waves version.

I'm comfortable with Shubb capos. They are easy to adjust, keep their adjustment & stay out of my way. So, when I got a nylon-stringed guitar, I ordered the Shubb for a flat fingerboard. It works great, just like the Shubbs for radiused fingerboards.

features:this capo works great but is not applied very quicky. When it is on it works great but it take a while to get in the proper place and usually requires the use of both hands. At times I have found it to get loose on its own. Quality & reliability: it seems to be well built and is very sturdy but as stated above it can become loose while playing. look & feel: I think that it looks great, it feels sturdy and well made but the rubber end on the tightening screw worn off after a few weeks of use.
