I wanted a good set of knives that will last me a long time, I'm only a home cook so this might be a bit extravagant, but the quality of everything is amazing, and they're the sharpest knives I've had out-of-the box like this. Very nice.

While I havent opened this set yet (they are a birthday present) Im sure they will be as good as any other shun product Ive had before
good quality but not for home use, easy cut your finger. not the product problem, is my problem.
I have used Wustof classic for many years, and wanted to upgrade to Wustof ikon, but after much research the lifetime free shapening of Shun and its quality and looks, won me over. Great set to use in the kitchen.
