For context I'm coming from an Elgato Wave 3Pros:- Feels very premium- LED strip is a nice touch for the gamers or for people that need to utilize the function. Personally just nice to have a big red indicator when the mics muted- Ability to tune via Motiv Mix app (this has plenty of room for improvements)- Finally using USB-C- Beginner friendly to useCons:- expensive especially compared to the Rode USB micNotes:There's plenty of other options with a lower price point. This never goes on sale, so if you're on a budget I'd look elsewhere. However, I absolutely love the different in sound and build quality jumping from Elgato. I'd recommend this over any other mic on the market given this exact same price point.

I bought this in conjunction with the RodeCaster Duo. I have a Blue Yeti and comparing the two, honestly, it's pretty close even with adding the RodeCaster. It didn't come with the cord that is needed to hook up, so I would think the bundle would have came with it. When it's all said and done, I think the Yeti would have been the best option. It's just easier.

I had been looking at updating my mic setup for working from home for a while, so I can sound more professionally produced while leading meetings. I'm blown away by how amazing this sounds for a USB microphone. Out of the box it sounds fantastic, but you can also tweak more with the app, including fully customizing the LED strip which is fun for personalization. It's also functional, showing the sound level its picking up and acts as a one-touch mute button.Visually, the boom arm and overall design of the mic are gorgeous on my desk and look professional, without being overbearing like some higher-end setups can be.The tradeoff between simplicity and quality really can't be beat here.

Amazing mic! Love the original mv7 but this one is awesome , Especially on auto mode makes it easy to use for beginners ! I recorded with the AC on right behind me and you can’t even hear it all you hear is my voice , I’m too lazy to edit audio and this mic makes it easy to just record and post
I bought this microphone as it has a dual USB and XLR output. I want to record to PC and Xbox simultaneously so this seemed ideal however as soon as I connect the USB input ALL of the ground noise is passed directly to the XLR output. I've done absolutely everything possible to rectify this (USB noise eliminator / USB ground eliminator / XLR ground lift / expensive power supplies / expensive inline preamp etc etc) nothing will work short of trying a different phase of electricity.It comes down to poor product design at the end of the day.Sound quality isn't as good as suggested, if you're expecting this to compare with the SM7B you will be sorely disappointed. I can say that some things are a definite improvement over the original MV7, including the improved pop filter which now actually does something, the USB-C connection, and several improvements with the DSP features. The real time denoiser is effective but does leave artifacts when background noise is moderate. The tone shape curve works well, and HPF is now separate which is nice. The compressor controls are hidden if you use auto-gain, which I'm not a fan of. The software is not fully baked yet - you can control all the DSP in the MV7+ in the desktop motiv mix app but several other settings are locked (it's still in beta at the time of writing). The Shure MV7 isolates the voice of the speaker, removing all of the regular ambient noise of a household. When I tested the microphone, I had my dryer running, and I was pleasantly surprised to hear that almost no dryer noises showed up in the recording. I usually run a de-noise plug-in, or cut out hums using EQ, but with the Shure MV7, those plugins feel more like a flourish than a ...
