I hear and see plenty customers claim to never have dropouts with this mic. I must have purchased a defective one because mine have dropped out repeatedly when I 1st got it. When close to receiver it's perfect but walk 5 feet away and I start hearing dropouts I am not pleased with this Shure mic. Especially after how many rave revues I've seen. I've had akg mics for years with no dropouts ever.

We have been using these mics for 5 years and they worked awesome, the old ones were falling apart from the amazing amount of hours we used them, so these are the replacements.

They're lighter, have better sound quality, and the design is even smaller but it has the same quality if not better than the ones we had before.
