A few days ago I wrote a 5-Star review of this drive. Yesterday it failed catastrophically. B&H accepted a return. The drive had become very hot to the touch. Very hot. Then MacFinder could no longer read it, nor could Lightroom. Mac First Aid could not check it or repair it or even erase it. I may get another SSD or just go back to a conventional hard drive.

This device works well for portable storage. However, it gets very warm when operating.
It's cute, fast and the case get warm when connected. When writing a large amount of data, it heats up even more and write speed slows down noticeably. Seems OK, though.
I needed an external USB-C that worked at least as fast as the Samsung T7 1TB at 10Gbps. The price was great, and for some reason, it's pink and I got it.It comes formatted in exFAT32, but it only takes seconds to change it to any other format and/or number of partitions.
Tested.It can record less than 8 minutes in 256GB using the ProRes 4K 60FPS, should get a bigger one like 4TB when it goes on sale.
