I use Gorilla duct tape on everything. It sticks and stays stuck. Having said that, you must remember that no matter how good it is, it is still duct tape. It sticks when it's wet, but your surface must be dry to start. It sticks in the cold, but the surface and the tape must be warmish to start. Like any other tape, it will not take an excessive amount of abuse, but this Gorilla Tape takes more abuse than any other duct tape I've ever used. It tears off the roll easily for me, and I am an old lady with nerve damage in my hands. I highly recommend this tape, even at the price charged.

The glue was so strong the gray cloth backing ripped lengthwise when trying to pull it off the role. I'm sure it would have stuck forever to whatever you applied it which has some use but I was just using it for general purpose like closing boxes for moving. I bought some cheaper regular grade duct tape and it works fine.

The stickiest tape out there. I carry it in the truck for whatever comes up, sent a roll with each kid to college along with all the other "mom" crap ( first aid, road kit, snacks, etc) and I got eye rolls. But within a week one boy used it to fix a girl's car radiAtor hose, the other boy used it to fix something in his dorm room, so what can I say?

Be forewarned, Gorilla Black Duct Tape is REALLY sticky and VERY strong! It is the best duct tape on the market in terms of holding power, but with that being said, the hardest to use. Try cutting a piece with dull scissors, and you will have a mess. Use a dull knife, the tape sticks back on itself and you will never get it untangled.I have found that the best way to use this wonderful product is to keep the tape on the roll as long as possible. If you can, wrap whatever you are taping from the roll itself, and not pre cut a piece of Gorilla Duct Tape. Gorilla Tape is a fantastic product and comes in many sizes. We have come to depend on having it on hand at all times because it works very well & has proven to be long lasting. The duct tape is very strong & the clear tapes are so helpful when you need tape you can se thru & they are water resistant.We make sure we always have a good supply of Gorilla tapes !!!!
It might seem like the "gorilla" products are kind of gimmicky. I originally thought "black duct tape, what is the big deal?". But the adhesive on this tape is serious stuff. I have used it as an assembly tape. It is really grippy. Now it is a toolbox staple for me. Good stuff.
In my opinion, stronger than duct tape. Saw a video where a board in floating floor had shifted and created a gap. They used duct tape and taped a piece of wood to the flooring and tapped it in with a hammer. Did not believe it would work....sure did with the Gorilla Tape.
This stuff is ridiculous! Amazing! I'm so impressed. Long story short, I am waiting on a new sunroof to be installed and needed a quick fix to "patch it up" with a small tarp and there have been no leaks, no tears, no gaps - the gray Gorilla tape we used has been a lifesaver! Going 72 mph on the highway was a breeze! Thank you Gorilla Tape!
This is my choice for anything that needs great holding strength. Its stronger, both in grip and in tensile strength, than my regular choice, 3M brand. This tape and T-Rex are tops on my list but more expensive than the 3M brand. T-Rex doesn't seem to bond as well but it is more durable and its what I use for things outside, but Gorilla tape is what I use when bonding strength and tensile strength are most important. It may cost more than the 3M brand but its well worth it if you need a powerful bonding tape that is also very tough to break.
