Wow this Simple Solution Extreme Stain and Odor Remover works really good. First off it smells great. It's not a perfume smell or real strong like some of the other products out there. We have two inside cats both female, they are spayed but you can't tell the outside tom cats that. Our girls like to go out on the screened in deck. So right now we have a few tom cats hanging around and they're being kind enough to pee and mark the backdoor, around the deck, and basement windows. I walked around the house and sprayed this everywhere that I could see the urine marks and I'm happy to say that the house no longer stinks like it did. I'll keep an extra bottle on hand just for around the outside of the house. I also used this on a few spots where the cats had vomited and left a stain. Both stains came out without any problems. There are 3 settings on the dial. Off, stream or mist. Instructions for urine, feces, blood, vomit, and other pet or people messes are listed on the bottle. It states that it also helps to prevent repeat marking. And it says not to use it on wool or leather.

The 'regular' or 'original' Simple Solution makes no such disclaimer - further alienating those customes that have previously used the 'regular' formula (that includes ourselves). Better labeling should be a priority. By the way - good luck on telling your dogs the difference between wool carpet and nylon carpet - they will just wag their tail at you. -

I have a terminally ill 14 year old jack russell her steroid medications side effects make her drink more & pee more & her pee smells really strong. I have incontinence bed pads down on the kitchen & Hall floors once I shut the door to outside. Over night this is where she pee's if she can't hold herself & I'm asleep & can't let her out. The pee goes through the pad to the floor sometimes as it's a lake when she does 1.I clean up with an anti bacterial floor wipe then spray this generously all over the area leave at least 5 minutes then wipe up with kitchen towel. There are no lasting nasty niffs it's great for taking the odour away to human noses. Alas it doesn't stop them from going again in the same spot as it advertises on the bottle. Extensive peeing that soaked through the bedding and all the way through the mattress. I chucked the bedding, but being reluctant to shell out on a new mattress I thought I'd give deep cleaning a go first. On each side in turn, I saturated the area with this spray, sprayed the entire mattress with a solution of washing up liquid in water, rubbed it down with a damp cloth, then used my steam cleaner on the pee areas. I sprinkled bicarb of soda over the whole thing to help with drying out, and left to dry with the radiator on full. The top side of the mattress required a second go over, but after 4 nights of sleeping on the sofa to show it to dry out ... A lot of the products I’ve tried haven’t worked as good as this! My dog loves to go on the furniture at night and clean himself. Unfortunately this leaves puddles and wet spots on our microfiber couches. I just spray some of this on the wet spot, blot up the excess and let it dry. You would never know there was once a puddle of drooly mess there. It dries perfectly without any outline of product and the scent is so nice, light and refreshing. This pet stain and odor remover does what it says it will do! Be careful though and try it in a spot where you won't see it 1st to make sure it won't bleach the area. It did bleach an area of my area rug, which didn't bother me though as it's old but now i know to be careful on other areas. This stain remover also worked on areas that stains already set in, that was a great surprise and awesome. The smell isn't overwhelming either, more like refreshing and clean!
I used this product to go back onto older stains I wasn't able to pull out using other products and this pulled out the stain nicely. I like the 3 in 1 nozzle feature allowing you to spray out foam, mist and stream. I used the foaming spray for our furniture, stream on the carpet and mist on the tile which seems to work well after leaving it for a few seconds on dry urine. This product does not leave a strong odor after use and truly eliminates the pet odor better than others I have used. Great product to use for our puppy Bernadoodle thats just getting the hang of potty training.
