Simply Potato Chips Sea Salt & Cracked Pepper 120g

[This review was collected as part of a promotion. ] I’m not a chip favourite because I do not enjoy the oily taste/feeling from the chips. I get this feeling of disgust at the back of my throat when I usually eat chips of these types. I tried the corn chips from the same brand and they were amazing so I was really looking forward to trying these but unfortunately, I was disappointed. They were oily and greasy and I was disgusted by the oil feeling in my mouth, I couldn’t enjoy them and had to stop after trying a few. In saying that however, the flavour was nice with just the right amount of black pepper and salt. It was so easy to find in store and adds a touch of class to a regular weekday night on the couch. The flavour of these chips is spot-on as you can taste both the pepper and salt, and they are equally balanced. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the inclusion of sugar. I really don't think it's necessary in a savoury product, and people's taste buds will adapt to sugarless products if given the chance. I’m not sure why they would go to the effort and expense of bringing out a new product ( Simply) + packaging + branding, when it is almost identical to what they already have on the market ( Red Rock Deli). I noticed that the product contains onion powder too! Necessary??I hope people don’t let their dogs or cats get a hold of any chips accidentally because onion is highly toxic to pets. [This review was collected as part of a promotion. ] I was gifted this product to review and provide honest feedback. All I can say it wow, I have definitely found my new favourite chip brand. I tried the sea salt and cracked pepper and it was amazing. The flavour combination of the hint of salt and the fresh cracked pepper taste made me keep going back for more. I absolutely loved the taste as well as it didn’t have the oily sensation you get from over branded chips. My only criticism would be that the packet size is not big enough, and I didn’t want to share with anyone else. I loved the packaging of the chips and the use of the gold foil colour. I believe it elevates it about other more common chip brands and makes it more unique.

So when asked to product trial these new Simply chips that are healthy and contain less of the bad I was thrilled!! As a chip they were faultless. Same crispness, same texture, same shape. As far as flavour goes I opted for sea salt and cracked pepper. I did find this flavour tasted a bit artificial. I much prefer the simple taste of salt. Than any premixed flavour emulating salt. I think the addition of the pepper made the flavour taste like something else Overall I enjoyed the experience and k owing they were that little big lighter took away the food guilt.

Less fat than other chip brands makes Simply chips is a healthier snack alternative. I love the fact that they’re Australian, have a HSR of 4 stars and are made with real ingredients. Beautiful gold packaging represents the product inside perfectly! Quality! Delicious! There were very few broken chips inside this pack which is great to see.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion. ] Ok, I’m a huge fan of the sea salt and cracked pepper potato chips! They have so much flavour, the pepper and salt combination works so well. The chips are crunchy and fresh and not too oily as some chips are prone to be. I love that the chips have 25% less fat than regular potato chips and are made with Australian grown potatoes. That the chips have no added MSG or artificial colours or flavours means I will happily give them to my children. I am delighted to have been asked to review this product, we will be purchasing them again!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion. ] My first impression was that the packaging was really shiny and captured my gaze on the shelf right away. When I got around to tasting it, I knew it was going to good from the first chip I had. The sea salt and pepper taste was definitely there and not too overpowering. I've had chips in the past that went overboard with the flavour but here it was just right (I was able to taste the potato which is how I like my chips). The after taste was pleasant as well. I wish there was more in a packet though! The amount of chips inside felt a bit less than some of the other chip packs I've had in the past.
