Singer 4411 Heavy Duty Sewing Machine

I am extremely happy with the service given by Electro365. My machine was delivered speedily with no fuss. The Internet has full details about the use of the Singer 4411 machine and manuals, in English, can be downloaded (assuming you have computer and printer). For a beginner, which I am, the full explanations about what / why different needles should be used and how to use them (tension and stitch length) is very useful. Singer, itself - on YouTube, has a series of videos showing the use of the most commonly used machine feet. They also show alternate uses i.e. the zipper foot used for piping as well. Electro365 ? 5 stars for both service and price.

A renaissance machine

This is definitely a heavy duty machine, it is not subtle. To practice I used the machine to make two dresses, not a good idea. The machine is very fast and the controls are not very fine. It was difficult to sew straight lines and the machine kept getting a thread caught in the lower bobbin. I actually bought it to do some upholstery which my dress making machine struggles with so I hope that it is better for that purpose. it is like sewing with my mother's ancient Singer. If you want a machine for dressmaking I think that a dressmaking machine would be better. However, it is very strong and relentless. My husband says that the house shakes when I use it.

Great Machine at a Great Price!

I have been looking at this sewing machine for months at different stores, hoping it would go on sale for a price I could afford. Michael's not only had this machine on sale but also had a coupon that I could apply toward the purchase if I bought it on-line. I was able to get this machine on sale with an extra discount and pick it up from my store. I have used this machine for several projects already and am very happy with it so far. It is heavy-duty enough to sew through several layers of fleece at a time and the operation is smooth and steady. I would recommend this machine to anyone who wants a sturdy machine for home use at an affordable price!

Great machine for heavyweight at a decent price

Great machine. I’m using it for some canvas and leather bags and works great. Of course, you need to be gentle and help at the beginning but is a big difference with a normal sewing machine (I almost felt sorry for my quilting machine when I try it!). The only downside is the length of the cord. I like to put the cord behind my table to the wall plug and down to the floor for the pedal. The pedal is too close to the wall so I have to super stretch my leg to be able to use it or put the sewing machine back in my table, close to the wall. If I do this trough the front of the table, there is not enough cable to plug-in and I have to use an extension cord. Other than that, happy with my purchase

I Take Back my Poor Review

This machine is the BEST for the best value that you can possibly get!!! I had previously written a review for this machine that I wish I could edit. Unfortunately, they do not allow that, so I just have to write a new one. I had purchased this machine and it wouldn't sew through simple nylon strapping and after one use, the timing became off causing me to have to fix it. I wrote a review because I was disappointed. Singer reached out to me after reading my review. We went through multiple steps and they determined what I had suspected - I got a lemon. They replaced my machine and I am so happy I chose the Singer Heavy Duty. I just sewed a zipper on a leather purse I have. Love This Sewing Machine!

This 4411 model has been amazing and I haven't yet used all the settings. The machine isn't heavy, but has enough weight that it doesn't move when in use, making it really stable. It's super easy to set up, but I relied on a playlist I found for this model on youtube to help (sewingmastery). Without it, I wouldn't have figured out certain things that have made a huge difference. (No connection or affiliation with them, I'm just grateful for those videos!) It's easy to quickly switch thread colors and settings, super easy to thread the bobbins, and it's fast. So far I've been sewing cotton and multiple layers of canvas-like materials with zero issues. Really easy to use and a great next step from the Midi

I was brand new to sewing and used the Hobbycraft Midi Machine for a couple of months making face masks, bunting, and dog bandanas. I wanted something with a little more power and was looking at the Singer Promise, and the Singer 3223. I decided I didn't need the extra stitches offered by the 3223 so settled on the Promise. This machine is fantastic. It is so simple to set up, use, and re-thread, and it is noticeably more powerful than the Midi. I have been able to make a bag and cushion cover with this machine, and it powered through multiple layers of fabric with no issue. It offers touch sensitive speeds through the pedals, and has an inbuilt light. I don't find it particularly noisy, and whilst heavier than the Midi, it's light enough to carry around. Singer Heavy Duty

My Brother machine finally gave up the ghost and cost more to repair than a new one would. Decided to go back to my roots of a Singer Machine. My previous one was my grans that was fairly old, no electric but worked great. I moved to US and found a second hand Brother. We had a love-hate relationship, but I was happy when it came to the end of its life, and chose a HD Singer ❤️ So different, but so, so great. I'm not an expert sewer, but know enough to make what I need, and this great machine has zoomed me into 2023! Self threading needle! Choice of stitches, material weight, sideways thread holder (awesome) and so much more. Love it!!! Absolute perfection (for me) in a sewing machine 😍

Why does this have such great reviews?

I bought this machine and was very excited to use it. First off, the bobbin case is unnecessarily complicated. It does not function nearly as well as a traditional metal bobbin case, and it seems like the plastic was used just to cut costs in production. Second of all, this machine clogs no matter what you do. You can be working on a project and things will be going just fine, and seemingly out of nowhere the bobbin will stop spinning and you will have an ugly lump of thread on your work. I feel like I have tried everything to fix this but it continues to happen everytime I sew. Maybe I just got a bad machine or something but I am majorly disappointed with this purchase.

save your money and buy something else

I bought this the end of July and it has been nothing but a problem. First, the plug that goes into the machine does not stay in requiring me to hold it in place until I start sewing. Second the thread "nests" and the stitches are not uniform. Third the zig zag feature works on and off. I have watched videos to be sure everything I was doing was correct and still does not work. I firmly believe I was sold a reconditioned machine with obvious defects. Joann fabrics hassle free returns have proven wrong as I have to spend over 50 in shipping fees to send the machine to a warranty approved facility per the Singer Company. You have to deal with Singer as Joann fabrics do not help you in this process.
