To be honest I was not expecting a lot from a machine that was this cheap, but the Singer brand convinced me it was worth a go. Unfortunately the first one I received was faulty which was not a good start, but it was replaced quickly and without any quibbling (and collected free of charge). The replacement worked straight out of the box with tension of stitching not even needing any fine tuning. The machine is lightweight but not too light, and quiet. All in all, excellent value for money.

What a fantastic little machine. I have always liked and used the Singer sewing machines and was a bit surprised when I first got this one as I thought it was a bit flimsy and plastic, how wrong was I. It is a super lightweight little machine that does a fantastic job. Easy tO thread, the bobbin winding is a breeze and I have sewn heavy weight curtains on it without any glitches. I would recommend this machine to anyone. 10/10 A*****

I have never used a sewing machine before, so have nothing to compare it to. But the setting up processe was a huge faff with the tiny little bobbin that goes under the needle. It falls out very easily before you mount the holder on the sprindle and took quite some effort with my fat fingers. The machine itself runs perfectly when it is finally set up though. Hemmed my jeans effortlessly and in no time at all.

This machine is so easy to use once you have managed to thread the cotton through to the needle. The hole is not easy to thread going from front to back and would be easier from right to left. Other than that I can find nothing else to say about it. It is good to have a choice of stitches.
This new sewing machine replaces the one I purchased 20 years ago. It is teriffic. It does all sorts of things I could never do before, like make half decent buttonholes. Any more and I would end up boring you, but it is good.
I bought this to replace an ageing machine. It is fairly basic but I think will be able to do the jobs that I require such as clothes, home furnishing and mending. If is compact and fairly light weight. The pedal does appear to be a bit light but in use it works well. My 10 year old grand daughter has mastered it at the first attempt so I would recommend as a good starter machine. I would recommend that you watch some of the videos of this machine to see if it it is what you require which is what I did before making my choice.
This sewing machine is great for a first timer like myself. The instruction manual could be clearer but after a finding a tutorial on the internet it was so much easier to get grips with using this machine. Only disappointment was order offline and the box being damaged upon arrival. The damage went through the machine box. And I couldn’t Elbe certain if the internals of the machine was broken. When taken back to store the customer service was very good but obviously took time out which is why I ordered online.
Singer have earned their name. Overall experience: good machine for everyday needs. Pros: - Easy to handle - Easy to learn - You cannot break it :D Cons: - Heavy - Low range of functionality - Pretty expensive Buy it. It works well and stable. Much better than Chinese ones.
I can't describe how frustrating using this sewing machine has been! The stitching is not good, it's impossible to get the tension right. Thread keeps breaking or somehow bunching below and getting the whole thing stuck or needles keep breaking. I believe there is something not right with it but I don't have the receipt any more so I can't get a replacement.
The accessories kit isnt compatible with the sewing machine. The bobbins dont fit properly so it constantly tangles and blocks the sewing machine. There are empty bobbins that come with the machine. The thread is very thin and cheap. But the other items in the accessories kit are ok (extra needles, scissors, elastic ect)
