Let's start with sweetwater service, was phenomenal!!! I was shocked receiving a call from Josh Hart for follow up and making sure everything was ok . Thank you Josh. Fast delivery and well packed. Now, the review! Sire guitars are awesome… this guitar feels well made. Everything on point even almost completely tuned. Action I will be adjusting to lowered just at a bit (personal preference) Intonation was perfect. Everyone was talking about the frets and they are really great! If you are looking on this price range…quality, you have to try Sire guitars.

This guitar compares very favorably to the American-made Fenders I have and have played. First of all: I couldn't find a blemish on it. I hadn't noticed from the marketing photos online that the area where the neck bolts to the body is scalloped; a nice touch. The pickups are loud and have even tone and volume on all the strings; even my $2300 Select Strat didn't have that when I got it new. The intonation seems perfect, something that is very important to me. When I got my Select Strat, I had to order short bridge springs from Fender in order to get the intonation set right. The pick-ups too, although single coil make almost no noise unlike my Select Strat. Playability is great. I like the rounded neck sides and the roasted maple neck provides a very unique and pleasant sound and tone. Locking tuners are very smooth and every bit as nice as on my SS. It came with Ernie Ball .10 strings, not ultra-cheap strings that come on cheap guitars. I did a lot of string bending and the guitar pretty much stayed in tune. In short this is an amazing guitar for the $599 I paid for it from Chicago Music Exchange. CME also double-boxed it for shipping and put expensive, not the cheap stuff, bubble wrap everywhere in both boxes to protect the guitar while being shipped. CME said they did a set-up on it which it feels like they did. Can't recommend them highly enough. Very happy with both the guitar and CME. I have seen some of the newer high-end Fenders and I am not impressed. The Sire is a much better buy and when you consider the cost difference, it's a no-brainer; I'd buy the Sire.

I like the matt varnish on the neck which makes it easier to slide your hand up and down. Simplistic looks with no clutter or over embellishments. Sounds amazing with its double humbuckers. The wood grain and finish are beautiful.
