This product not only delivers a rapid-absorbing supply of easily digestible carbohydrates (22 grams), but also provides 130mg sodium, 9.5mg potassium and 1.5mg magnesium per gel. Electrolytes including sodium, potassium and magnesium are lost through sweat and need to be replaced in order to help the body maintain fluid balance, alongside an appropriate fluid intake. The electrolyte bump make them great for summer month training when the strain on fluid balance is higher. Not to mention, these are Informed Sport Certified so they are trusted by even the most elite of athletes.

Unfortunately I bought these awhile ago so I’m over 30 days to send back BUT I wish I said something sooner. Really was just hoping it was just a handful that may have been damaged but it’s the whole box that each does not have a good seal and will leak all over you. If you were to put it in a plastic bag and put it in your flipbelt it will squeeze all content out by the time you need it. Waste of $55. I only use them on my long runs from 12 or longer miles. I have not run too many of these long runs so that’s why I am just getting around to making this review. After reading recent reviews this looks like a trend. I would not buy this even though it is cheaper than other places. Don’t make my mistake.

As a long distance runner I have had to go through the trial and error of energy gels, hydration salts and many other products. In particular, I’m very picky with flavored products, especially with gels which tend to be very sweet and thick. In my opinion, while SIS gels may be larger in comparison to other brands, they are the ones that are easier to pass, don’t contain sugar added (it’s the same grams of carb) and come in multiple flavors. They are also good with my stomach as very sugary ones tend to give me cramps.Overall my favorite so far. Only downside is that they are hard to find in store. Also, added electrolyte versions of this gel are not always available online when you need them for longer distances.

These work great. I’ve fueled lots of gravel rides up to 8 hours with these SIS gels. I keep a caffeine espresso gel for early morning Zwift rides before I’ve had my coffee or breakfast . Relatively affordable carbs compared to many and easy to choke down even during hard riding. Just tear open the top and roll the packet from the bottom as you suck the contents out. and please put the empty rolled packets in your jersey pocket and not the roadside!

I dislike many of the standard energy gel brands like Gu and Clif due to the viscosity of the gel and how much water I had to chug to wash it down. SiS gels are closer in viscosity to watery semi-formed jello, and I find them much more palatable. I've tried a wide range of their flavors (Pineapple, Cherry, Apple, Watermelon) and have found them all to be tasty. It does seem that SiS has stopped making electrolye gels - if you can find them, Raspberry flavor is great. Their Double Espresso caffeinated gels are also tasty but the caffeine content is too high for my system at a whopping 150 mg.
I have been using SiS GO Isotonic Energy gels for years and have always been very happy. Unfortunately, since SiS made The Feed the US supplier, every order I have received has contained several leaking packets. Initially I thought maybe it was just a bad batch but it continues. I just received an order today and they leaked so badly that the outside of the box is coated in gel. The box itself is in perfect shape. So, buyer beware, not sure why this has been happening with orders from The Feed, other than they seem to remove the packets from any other packaging, I'm just envisioning these big vats of packets that are leaking all over the place, but I no longer have any confidence that I will receive an undamaged product and so am now forced to find another gel since ... MoreI have been using SiS GO Isotonic Energy gels for years and have always been very happy. First off, I just discovered these gels and I love them. I got a box of the pineapple for 2 reasons, I love pineapple (yes even on pizza) and the box was on sale. I was a bit disappointed in the flavor, it's pretty weak, almost nonexistent which can be good and bad depending of if you just want to get the calories. I didn't hate it though and I will have no problem finishing the box. But what can't be denied is how good they are and how well they work. They are more on the watery side, which I like. Gu's like a lot of other gels are thick and sometimes that's what you want and need. These go down super fast, it's almost like taking a drink, and because of that, it's also easier to make sure you get it all out of the package, so you get every last carb. I love these gels. The only negative issue lately is how easily the gel packs break open. I have been ordering the gels for several years now. However, over the last two to three orders, I have noticed that the gel packs break open easily. For example, I placed three in one of my jersey pockets and, during my bike ride, I went to grab one and noticed that one of the three packs had burst open as there was gel all over the place in my jersey pocket. I did not have anything else in my pocket but these gels. Another example, I placed several gels in a ziplock bag for a trip. I placed the bag in a drawer in the camper, with nothing sitting on top of it. When I opened to bag to grab some gels, there was gel all over the other packs because one burst open. Again, this ... MoreI love these gels. The only negative issue lately is how easily the gel packs break open. I have been ordering the gels for several years now. ...lots of reasons to like this product. I'm not sure if there are similar modified gels out there. But this really makes gel use pleasant and easy.Though not a replacement for real food, gels really work when needed. This gel isn't as sticky, it has a good mouth feel and isn't overly sweet. Yet it's the same as conventional gels.I like being able to have one and not need to rinse the "cake frosting" from my mouth immediately.Definitely drink water often, this is no substitute. But neither is it necessary. Two thumbs up from me, I'm sold!
I discovered these at the NYC Marathon as they were the featured on-course gel. Took a chance at mile 22 and tried these for the first time (I was close to bonking). Not only did they taste great, they were significantly easier on my stomach than my GU gels. They are more liquid consistency, so you can take them without water. They have become a staple in my nutrition. Highly recommend for anyone who doesn't care for thick, syrup-y gels. The only negative is that they are kinda bulky in size compared to other gels. But still, I cannot recommend these enough! Thank you to the Feed for keeping me in stock!
Purchased a multi flavor sample this spring and decided to get a case of the Tuti Fruiti bc they were delicious! I have had great success with SIS gels the last few years and am very hesitant to stray to something else for another flavor etc and SIS has the flavors to keep me coming back! I vary between a 20 min and 60 min intervals depending on the intensity of my rides. After squeezing a gel I feel energized and ready to attack the hills again! I never cramp up using SIS GO Electrolyte and these gels on long rides.
