I was curious about the Juliet when it was first introduced. After watching a few videos by Siser and a few craft accounts, I was sold. I still have my other cutting machine but Juliet is the one I use the most for the ease of cutting out vinyl without a mat and the larger print and cut size. And I love the test cut option on the machine. Don’t need to make an object to test out cut settings.I look forward to seeing what else Siser adds to Leonardo Design Studio too.The only reason I did not give it 5 stars, and maybe I missed an announcement, is that I can’t add any more types of materials to the cutter settings. Looks like it is set to 6 total??? But that is not make or break for me. TLDR - I love this machine. It is an absolute joy with which to work. "Failed Cut" is quickly falling out of my vocabulary. Final product is immaculate. Configuring it is very easy. The "Test Cut" feature is smart, and effective. If you're coming from another brand of machine, you may feel resistant to embrace the Juliet workflow. I did. However, after doing it just one time it all clicked, and I really can appreciate it. I am literally 2-3 times more productive with this machine and still improving. I am literally 2-3 times more productive with this machine and still improving. I am making print and cut laminated stickers on holographic waterproof vinyl. I use the GIMP for all my image editing, then drag and drop into LeoDesign software. Really, my Leo workflow is pretty transparent in that the effort that goes in between finishing the image/design in GIMP, and weeding/harvesting the stickers does not really stand out in my mind. It cuts so fast, and precise, just brilliant. Siser really have something here, in my novice but rapidly improving, humble opinion.A Comparison - I got into making stickers about 6 months ago, using a Cricut Explore Air 2 on loan from a friend. 2 months later after enjoying some success with the loaner, I purchased my own CEA2. In the beginning I made single color stickers with permanent vinyl but eventually found that color printed stickers on holographic vinyl with protective laminate were my jam. I had good results half the time but the amount of wasted materials and failed cuts was frustrating. The factors contributing this problem were limitations of the Cricut software, and the poor function of the light sensor. Jump forward to two days ago, and after wasting several hours, and a shameful amount of materials, I was genuinely about to throw my CEA2 out the window, for real. Seeing the fault in that plan I instead began to research other cutters and the Siser Juliet quickly caught my eye. Claims of high accuracy, speed, and low noise interested me, not to mention a feature to make use of scrap materials. When I saw it was on sale at Michael's for a hundred dollars off, I jumped in the truck, cruised to town and bought the last one in store. I just completed my first print-and-cut moments ago and this machine is awesome, impressive. It is simply on another level compared to the Cricut. I sum it up as the difference between toy-grade, and pro-hobby-grade. With the Juliet, I can fit almost twice as many stickers on the sheet than I could with the Cricut. Cutting once gets the job done, as opposed to having to cut twice on my old machine. I definitely made a great pick with this cutter and will never look back. With the comparison done, I'll now focus strictly on my experience with the Juliet. The Juliet - Not realizing I failed to remove all the protective packaging, the drive belt skipped violently upon the first power on. I shut it off and contacted support via the chat bubble on the website immediately. That was at midnight, and early the next morning I had a reply from Pam pointing out exactly what I had done. Prompt, kind, and effective support erased the discouraging initial power up experience. Keep in mind, this is a new machine and the documentation and software are excellent but still being developed. Pam was more than receptive to my feedback about better detailing the locations of the protective packing in the manual. I couldn't have asked for a better support experience.I design my stickers in GIMP so I only need the Siser software to send the designs to the cutter, and it worked perfect for this. My current designs are wildflowers extracted from photos I take while out walking with my dog. I don't rely on any of the seemingly abundant tools for editing in Leo so I hope to see a batch import feature in the future, but there are workarounds for this. NBD. After viewing two video tutorials I loaded up my first cut. Within minutes the machine was busy at work cutting. Ecstatic with the results and experience, I was eager to write a review to help others make their way to the same enjoyment I've had. If you're reading this, I believe you've found your machine. Dive in, and enjoy. It's fantastic, and will only get even better. Hats off to Siser.

I have owned many cutting machines in my time, but the Siser Juliet is by far the best one to date. First of all it is accurate, I mean super accurate. Print n cuts are now no longer a nightmare, fingers crossed it works scenario. I now know they are simply going to work. It is also super quiet and super quick. There isn’t a single thing I don’t like about my Juliet. The software is a little limited, but they update it frequently so I have no doubt that in due course it will offer great design capability. All in all, I am extremely happy with my purchase.

As someone who's been making and selling various crafts for over 40 years , I started using plotters 18 years ago when I got my first Craft Robo - I presently have an old Klik n Kut, cameo 3 and 4, Portrait, scan n cut, Joy and Maker. I bought the Juliet out of curiousity and so far have been very impressed with the performance. The print and cut function which is what I use most is fast, accurate and very quiet! The all round precision and speed of the machine is amazing. At the minute my preferred software for designing is Silhouette Studio Business, but I'm sure in time the Leonardo software in time will pick up speed! These things take time!! Would love to see you develop a scoring tool as I make a lot of boxes-- Keep up the good work Siser.

A great addition to the industry!

Loving the new Siser Juliet and Romeo cutting machines. The precision cuts are amazing! Test cuts are so important with this machine as you are the one in control of it all. Once you have the cut setting dialed in for your particular material - whew! they are both zippy machines! The Leonardo Design Studio software is basic to start, but they've already started implementing updates based on user feedback. Leonardo Design Studio opens svg files, so you can get to cutting. It is a new cutting machine and with any new skill it will take time to learn. I share tips and suggestions on the Swift Creek Customs YouTube channel. Loving the new challenge of the Siser cutting machines. Check out some of the projects I've done on YouTube!

After test cut, I am having difficulty with how to load it to cut other than the test cut. Every time I tried to cut something it releases my vinyl or the mat before making a full cut. I don’t have this issue with my Cricut EVER! I have tried all the different ways and I am totally baffled and extremely disappointed. I haven’t done anything with this machine but a test cut and I paid more for it than my Cricut’s. I have goggled and watched videos. I have never been so confused in my life! At this point I want my money back. I need some serious assistance or I will not be able to recommend this machine to anyone as an investment, so far for me it’s a total waste compared to my 3 Cricut cutters.

I think these reviews are a bit disingenuous, because they are very different from the experiences three people plus myself are having with this machine. I am really disappointed that such a beautiful and supposedly great machine isn’t measuring up to my Cricut Ex 2, Cricut maker or my Joy! We all are experiencing difficulties with the machine working exactly as advertised. I paid more for this machine than my others and have yet to make anything with it, very disappointing. Although, I have been struggling with getting over Covid, but I will try again after I watch a few more videos and when I am feeling better! Please help this not be a waste of my money!

Juliet is #1 quiet. You do not have to raise your voice to be heard above her. If you, are new to Craft machines that is a big plus. Besides being quiet, she cuts like a dream. I am jonesing to get Romeo. I had come to loathe working with permanent vinyl with my very first cutting machine, then every cut job ended up with me in tears and threatening to throw it out the upstairs window (for full crashing effect). Bit I restrained myself long enough for Siser to bring us Romeo Juliet. Now I cry happy tears. But if you are looking for the software to be as advanced as you are use to, wait, and keep fussing & cussing as your previous cutter gives you grief. For me, Life is too short. There are work arounds what is not currently available (Siser Team is working tirelessly to remedy that) and had this machine not come when it did, I would have thrown in the towel and given up on my vision all together.I do feel that Someone at each Michael's should have known anything at all about the Siser cutting machine's, even now. However, she is home, she works beyond my wildest dreams and as my line grows I will be investing in more.

I found that to be odd considering the Juliet is a beautiful fast machine. I want to see someone upload their own file through LDStudio and do a print and cut. I think the design company should have let us known that the Leonardo Design Studio website wasn't quite ready and then still offered us the option to purchase the Juliet cutting machine if we choose to do so. That way I would not have sold my other cutting machine so quickly.
