Really good product overall, bought a few in different sizes. All the properties claimed are true apart from the microwaveable assertion that they can be used if cover unclipped, my microwave said "No" and shouted at me in no uncertain terms ! It was quite happy to work once lid removed and clingfilm applied which does somewhat detract from our need to use far less plastics. In case you are wondering microwave facility in my oven is a new model.

Stores, microwaves, carries and freezes: a brilliant all-rounder - and it goes in the dishwasher. Love the vents for microwaving so no more clingfilm in the bin. So far we've found it really is watertight but you must close the side clips which are much easier to open than some other designs so another plus.

Bought these as the 100% leakproof was exactly what we were looking for. Sadly, I now have bags and objects smelling of various sauces as these do seem to leak fairly regularly. Which is a shame as otherwise they are very good (stain resistance is excellent). It's very possible we are doing something wrong, but considering it's just push lid on and clip down two latches I can't quite see how... Certainly for their shatter-proof-ness (have dropped one and it did indeed remain undamaged; it leaked before that so wasn't the cause...) and stain resistance they are still good, but considering they don't fulfil one of the other main features, then they are expensive for just those two.

Bought this to store dry meusli.Well designed, keeps the contents fresh and dry, easy to keep clean and seems reasonably robust. Good value too - very happy with the purchase.
Extremely happy with these when we bought them, they seal very well (soups etc never leaked) and the plastic remains nice and clear and doesn't stain or scratch as easily as older generation Sistemas. However! After about a year to a year and a half or regular use they've started crazing and cracking which is a big disappointment, was hoping they'd last a bit longer. The older generation ones are still going great after 5 years or so. Not sure what's causing them to craze and crack, they're not subjected to any force, perhaps they don't like the refrigeration and microwaving we put them through. Hopefully Sistema can solve this and make it a truly fantastic product!
These are fantastic containers. After using cheap, flimsy ones whilst at university, I was keen to invest more for a better, premium product now I am moving house. These are excellent quality, they are very durable and they also look fantastic. I bought all 3 sizes, and they stack comfortably inside the largest base, freeing up much needed room! The lid seals into the base really well and I would feel happy to throw these into my bag, even if they had food inside. The only issue I have had with these (and it's not the fault of John Lewis) is that there is a sticker on the bottom of the container which was very difficult to get off. It was one of those ones which required lots of heating / scrubbing to remove properly. Other than that, I couldn't be happier!
Great product. Love that they stack inside each other for storing. Great lids and suction seal. Perfect size for leftovers in the fridge, or crackers in the cupboard.
There is a perannial search for the holy grail of leak-proof containters and some handbags are going to be ruined along the way. I have many other boxes from this brand in the classic iteration which I always have to put inside another plastic bag if I'm planning on transporting anything which is not completely dry, and also have been stained from heating e.g. a tomato based sauce in it.Granted, when I got this box I immediately saw the image on the packaging showing no water leaking out and tested it, much to my dismay it did in fact leak water - but if you were transporting water, you would put it in a bottle.I have found this container to be effective in leak-proof-ness for lots of lunches e.g. pasta in a sauce, curry, salads etc. I would be cautious putting ... MoreThere is a perannial search for the holy grail of leak-proof containters and some handbags are going to be ruined along the way. I have built up a collection of these containers as have found them very useful. They can be used in the freezer and in the microwave as well as in the fridge. Feel sturdy and lock in food very securely as stated. When empty each size stacks easily onto each other which saves on storage and stops them tipping over.Perhaps another size in addition to the three offered might be helpful.
I bought this item as I often make enough to freeze extra meals. The problem has often been that you haven't enough room because containers were mixed shapes and sizes. Because they are clear I can see what I have frozen, I can stack the boxes really easily, save space and they freeze really well
