SK-II Genoptics Ultraura Essence Illuminating Serum 50ml

I’ve been in search of my holy grail daily serum for a while. Something that feels great on the skin and also gives both immediate and long term improvement. While I like this serum, alas, it is not my holy grail. It just didn’t pack that punch I was looking for in a serum. It feels nice on the skin when it goes on, doesn’t feel sticky, absorbs nicely and makes my skin feel smooth to the touch. I don’t really see any physical effects when I apply it. The face serum was packaged neatly. It appears in a glass sparkly bottle and looks luxury. I like the light texture. It applies easily and absorbs well. No tacky feeling after it absorbs completely. The scent is nice, reminds me of a parfume. The scent is not strong, and it doesn't remind on the skin for a long time, and it's a big plus for me because I'm sensitive to strongly scented face care products. It makes my skin moisturized for the whole day. I use it every morning and evening as part of my daily routine. And, I would say one more thing about the dosator. It's unusual, and I was reading the instructions for the first time before using the serum.

I think this serum is fantastic. I had never heard of SK-II or the Genoptics brand before, but I'm a huge fan now. The bottle is sleek made of heavy feeling glass and looks luminous - and luxurious. Instructions are so clear and easy to understand and follow. The dripper is one of the coolest and easiest I've ever used. When applying the serum my skin feels instantly refreshed and moisturized, and it looks luminous and nourished. I have used the ulraura essence serum almost daily for about three weeks now, and I really see a difference in my skin. My age and sun spot are so much less noticeable or visible. My skin texture has improved greatly and just looks healthier overall. I think this product is fantastic, and I can only recommend it.

I go through moisturizers and serums like there’s no tomorrow. I don’t use a lot of makeup and prefer a natural look so my skin care is the most important thing to me. I absolutely love spoiling my skin with luxurious skin care and the SK II Genoptics Ultraura essence certainly fit the bill. It’s a lightweight serum that goes on easily and absorbs quickly. With all this being said, I couldn’t in good conscience give it 5 stars because of the ingredient list. Most of the ingredients are wonderful and are known to be good for skin. However, it does contain methylparaben and in this day and age, there really is no excuse for it. There are many other preservatives that could be used instead. Given that this is a luxury item and I expect to get my money’s worth, having a paraben in the ingredients is unexpected and not in a good way. Reformulating the ingredients to exclude parabens would make this immediately 5/5 stars for me. In terms of effectiveness, packaging, scent and texture it’s an amazing product, but the ingredients are disappointing. If the parabens don’t bother you, this is a great product for you! I would still recommend it based on the fact that it is quite effective and does do the job.

Upon opening this serum I instantly fell in love with the bottle itself. I love the glowy halo bottle color. Instead of squeezing the dropper you only have to push down on the lid making it super easy to use. The serum itself has a very light clean scent. The serum absorbs into my skin very nicely and does not leave a greasy after feel. I have been using this product for a few weeks and have seen a drastic difference in my skin. I never knew how dull my face was til this product brightened it. My face is just glowing. This time of year my face gets super dry and while using this serum my face has been super smooth and hydrated. I have a few sun spots and they are already fading away. This product has just completely blown me away. I had a baby last year and my skin just has been dull, red, splotchy, and just terrible overall. So much so that I hadn’t even been bothered to do my hair or my makeup or even put anything cute on. I am wondering it’s due to the Galactomyces Ferment Filtrate, they refer to the ingredient as Pitera. It’s made from fermented yeast and it is loaded with amino and organic acids, vitamins, and minerals.I have used this brand before and never had any complaints but this is the best product I’ve had from them. This one has no offensive fragrances. The packaging is ridiculously beautiful. The holographic shine on the bottle is so eye catching and it feels so therapeutic to handle it and get into some self care. I love that it’s in glass and the lid is very innovative. I have never seen a product with a dropper like this. It self fills when you open it but there is a small rubber button on the top of the lid that will also empty the chamber. it does the work for you. It’s so sleek.I am so glad to have had found this product and am so happy to be getting my skin back.

[Rewarded Review] Lovely bottle from the Dew gods

After using this product for three weeks I felt I have enough information to make my review. As far as packaging the bottle is sleek and and beautiful. It’s not heavy and I was able to travel with it on my trip to Paris. I love that each dropper gives you the exact amount of product needed. It refills with each use. As for the actual product my skin being dry this time of drank up each drop. It’s very light on the skin and I love the immediate glow the product leaves. I apply this at night and wake up looking refreshing the next morning. I would also like to add I’ve used it every night and it’s barely made a dent. This is my second Skii product and yes the price point is high however I have never tried another product quit like this one.
